OR the message is about military people like normal soldiers, Whom get used as (some times) meat shields. They will send them out there ti fight even if they know they will die. Only for a military strategy or something. I think that's what Don, the big zombie was talking about. And the thin one, being nice and all, was showing to be "human" and the journalists called them a threat in pubblic. So yes, ur understanding was good but missed a little part :)

The moral of the animation is clearly just because you look like a monster doesn't make you one, and learning to accept some outcomes are a product of life and cannot be changed. This is no ones fault, its just a fact of life. I really enjoyed how the set up was centered around the zombies but the real focus was the reporter. I really enjoyed this and feel better having watched it. Thank you for it.

The camera guy certainly didn't leave, but the other guy came in expecting an scene that fit a narrative he already made up. Hear the leading questions the guy was asking, listen to the actual responses. See the two moods the zombie couple were already bringing to the surprise interview. I didn't see the camera person, but I like them. They were clearly looking to find the story, what ever story that may be. Look at the way the focus on how Don's self consciousness about his lack of a lower half. The focus that quickly shifts to Don when he opens up about what he misses. How they also focus on how Andy is careful to fix the flower vase on the table in the midst of Don's anger at the loss of his life. Which is just to say, I like the composition of this video.

@drmantistobboggangonzodr39617 жыл бұрын
fart face well on the other hand, you could also say that the camera guy focusing on his lower half was exploitative depending on your point of view, i mean, if a camera-man focused on a disabled person's wheelchair or something and reduced them and their whole story to their disability, and didn't respect their privacy while fighting, that would be kinda odd in my humble opinion and would make some people queasy and sick to their stomach to see that. all people have a basic human dignity and when we refuse to acknowledge that, not to be a social justice warrior because this is just common sense for me, treat people how you would like to be treated, we learn that shit in kindergarten for f*cks sake!. ...........but i like to think maybe the camera guy came with that kind of expectation and then when he focused on the flowers and showed the zombie playing harmonica, he saw through the parts that scared him and his preconceived notions about who they are and what they are, and saw two guys just trying to make something positive out of a life they had torn from them and having relationship disagreements like we probably all do from time to time. maybe I'm reading too much into it, lol but i thought it was good, engaging, liked the characters, explored something about everyone reacts to it differently and good art tends to show you something about yourself in my opinion, so this was great. look forward to seeing more from these guys. the animation was great too.
@minimoon13724 жыл бұрын
I think my favorite part of this short film is when Don starts to play the harmonica. Not just because of how emotionally heavy the moment is but the actual shot itself. You get a clear shot of his hand and the wedding ring he still wears on his finger. And that to me is just a fantastic example of showing and not telling during a story. It makes his "I had a life phrase" so much more meaningful.

@@distorted5589 I don't think so, I think these two guys got randomly shacked up as "roommates". The ring could have been from "his goddam life". Before he was a zombie.

This animation describes how does the media act. They see both sides of the story but tell us only one. That's it, nothing else.

Dragutin the Slav- Veliki except in reality, they are pushing the narrative of the filmmaker, not the cartoon newsmen. The news media bends over backwards to excuse and cover up for the scum of the earth - hamas, ms-13, Islamic rape gangs etc. Just like how this film does not show any zombie violence.

larry lovehandle you're kidding right, it didn't show any violence because there was none, the reporter spoke about a previous incident and used that to tar everyone with the same brush. Kind of like the far right to towards Muslims and the far left towards Jews. Everyone does this, can't just judge each situation on its own merits. This a problem with broadcasters like CNN and FOX, neither of them just say it as it is, both push their own spin on it. Can't just be objective. Then joe average will pick a side and ride that 🐂💩 as though their life counts on it. Lo and behold the *objective facts* get left by the wayside.

*”the images speak for themselves”* I saw this video along time ago and have probably watched this more than once, but I still enjoy it each time. I really like the way the cameraman decides to stay, because our(the viewers’ of this KZbin video and even the ‘viewers’ of the video of the story) understandings’ of what’s going on really relies on what the camera & camera man are showing us. What I got out of this video are 2 things: 1) that it’s media’s responsibility to show an honest image (because what they show is what many believe) 2) & that overall, people should hear things out and be open minded rather than running away when it gets difficult or scary. It’s important to hear out a whole situation and decided what something means for yourself, rather than run away like and form a belief from pieces of the truth like the reporter

Oh, that scene hit me hard. It's heart-wrenching to see the struggles they face, especially that desire for a taste of their past lives. The raw emotion, the lost dreams-it's just overwhelming. Empathy is crucial here; they're not just "post-zombies," they're individuals with stories and pain. Can't help but reflect on the fragile nature of humanity and the complexity of the situation. Thanks for sharing this thought-provoking piece.

I've actually watched District 9 the plots could be seen as SIMILAR but the reporters have different stances on their respective topics. The reporter from District 9 if i remember correctly was more curious than concerned. Also I'm more talking, "cured" zombies, and societies stance on them. Like that movie Fido had an interesting look at it. and I find alien, and zombie themes tend to have different atmospheres.

In The Flesh is about reintegrating cured zombies back into society and it's really well done. It only got 2 short seasons but it's worth checking out. Some great characterisation.

I feel like this shows what life after prison is like and the integration of former inmates back into society. They were once human, and had lives and after prison they aren’t left with jobs or a way of returning to life as it was before. They are feared as threats to those of us who haven’t been “zombies”.
