This is perhaps due to a beginner/senior flex in the shaft if your swing speed is on the faster side. It took me over a year to figure that out after trying ways to compensate for it. The club face was too far open by the time it made it down to the ball due to the flex in the shaft. I suppose that's why it helps to get properly fitted at a shop and to work with someone that knows what they're doing. I however was on a budget when getting into the sport and walked out with a cheap beginner set but the clubs were not a good fit for me.

It’s all in your swing technique , stance , arms ,elbows shoulders , head, legs , feet , hips . I bat lefty in baseball and throw righty . Swing lefty at golf and I can Bomb the golf ball easily 300+ yards with my driver .

I’m a female lefty and avoided golf for the first 59 years of my life. My experience in learning sports and hand crafts has been a struggle because of my left-handedness. Being a right hander naturally but amidextrious in many things my right half of my body as many injuries and I been needing to crutch on the lefty plays...currently hitting RH and LH drives very close to to the same. Putting is equivalent. Soon to be working on fairways and iron soon. Contact sports and hard labor my body just can't do it for more than a day.. if that.... appreciate the lefty tips sir

Good Morning Jeremy, I too am like Milz. I Played baseball all my life throwing right, batting left (felt more natural) but could bat right as well when coach asked me to. Funny story.... I started out playing golf with free right handed clubs, playing with left handed grip (I know CRAZY and Unorthodox right!!!!) in after high school (30 years ago) because I/family couldn't afford left handed clubs. I actually played pretty good that way until I was able to get some lefties. I have never had a lesson but have tried a million different compensation ways to TRY and hit it straight or accurate. Have a 50% success rate straight and 90% fairly good playable shot, if I can ever convince my brain that I am not in my 20's anymore and try to kill it every shot to out drive my buddies. I now shoot inconsistently high 80's-100. I am ok playing right handed but I don't like the feel at all. I will sometimes grab their driver and out drive them and talk smack when we are just out on a occasion "stress relieving drinking golf" with my old Army buddies. Now older and with old injuries, I am looking to find a comfortable, low pain swing like I see the old timers do (that whip our tails every time we get paired up with them). My problem is more mental, thinking I am still as strong as I used to be and letting loose with crappy hits and pulling a FAT muscle that I haven't used in years, LOL. I just watched another video that made a lot of sense to me (not sure if its correct or not), theorizing that "Lefties" right arm/wrist tend over control the downswing causing a natural open face slice vs. a "Righties" swing being powered by the right arm/wrist. What are your thoughts on that theory and would you have a fairly easy solution? Love that you are one of the very few that actually address Lefties, and Thank you for that!!!

I had a question, if i am a fresh beginner lefty, never hit a golf club before, would you say it's best to just go ahead and learn to play right handed from the start? It just seems that golf equipment will be extremely hard to get and pricier for us leftys, even rental clubs at local courses will be hard to find probably :/

It’s hard on us lefties. Even getting golf gloves are inconsistent. Packaging will read “right”, but it’s right handed golfer with a left handed glove. I’ve been playing for years, and still get frustrated.
