"I don't think you need a certain level of experience to share what you know with other people" ... this clicked for me today. Thank you. I'm going to be a telescope now and take some pictures in my little corner of the world. Thanks Faizal. Now matter what video of yours I watch, in what order, always inspiring man.

I’m always super jealous of those who have access to shooting in large cities. Street photography becomes so much easier when you’re invisible and there’s so much weird and wonderful things unfolding before your eyes.

I think what‘s most inspiring to me about joel is that I feel in the first line he makes me better see AND appreciate humans and then teaches me to translate what I see into photography.

Meyerowitz is brilliant with complexity. A lot of street photographers are fine with isolated subjects, or interesting juxtapositions, but Joel's best work is like a scene from an opera. Seemingly random and highly orchestrated at the same time.

I actually won a “Masters of Photography” course a couple of years ago and chose Joel’s, still haven’t completed it due to life getting in the way etc buy I’ll get back at it soon. New York, and Tokyo are my “Bucket List” destinations to go for Street Photography. Some great images there Faizal, loved seeing the architecture in B&W

There is a photograph Meyerowitz took of a man standing in what look's like a tennis court with a Goodyear blimp in the sky above him. Don't know why but i can just stare at that image for some time. It's just perfect.

I get a selfish vibe from Joel but in a totally positive way. You can tell that he’s so passionate and inspired by teaching photography and taking photos that it feeds his soul and gives him pride and fulfillment. There’s nothing more selfish than art because it’s a reflection of your values and how you see the world.

@mahdiali67323 жыл бұрын
People will hate me for this. A lot of those famous photographers are made famous not by their work but by sponsors and marketers. Not saying that they don’t have a good body of work but they are overrated (a lot of them without mentioning names). If you see a famous photo taken by some famous photographer then most probably you would like it not because of the photo is good or not but because of Hawthorne effect and ‘going with the crowd’ phenomena. I saw a photo of a potato being sold for 1million euro and can’t absorb it. Check for the most expensive photos sold and you would k ow what I mean.
