I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Greenfield on a couple of occasions from when I worked with a custom tailoring company years ago, talking to him you can't help but to feel inspired
@christophernejman12 жыл бұрын
This is one of the most uplifting stories. When large corporations say it cannot be made in the USA, we have a man like Mr. Greenfield who has done more to help his community with jobs and structure, and have done it successfully with morals and ethics. Large corporations need men like Mr. Greenfield for their CEO's.

When I was 14 a man was a master tailor and wanted to apprentice me. I wanted nothing to do with it because I didn't think it was something I would care about. He was in his eighties in the mid 1980's and is long gone now. I regret not taking the time to learn from him because he was very skilled.

I admire people who have passion in things like this. In Hong Kong, bespoke/custom tailoring is one of the oldest profession. They are known for the best bespoke/custom suits, maybe because they have passion in what they do and it reflects on the quality and service they offer to the people who patronize they work.

The tailors of the past they are a lost group, they were proud of thier trade and the suits they made they wouldn't allow a person to wear a "bad look". Pride and expertise thats the story. Tailors love to see thier works on people and are proud to say they made a great product.Bless them.

My first job was in a sewing factory because that was what I was good at. The people there seemed somewhat like this man and his story. There were a little of each and every part of the world, speaking all different languages but being able to communicate with all with a smile or the little words like good or Bonito or Magnifico. It was a great time but it was a hard time. I saw the factories closing and didn't know of them opening up again. Gosh, how many times this man started over. And the one story in my life that pulled at my heart the most was the concentration camps. How unfortunate that life would have such inhuman things in it. A movie that comes to my mind everytime I hear that word, concentration camp is "The Emperor of the Sun". What is the most remarkable to me are these men that had gone through it and kept their heads high and worked their way through that. God Bless this Man. I'd love to work for him.

This is what REAL Capitalism looks like. Not the Corporatism that we have today...
@lukebruce52347 жыл бұрын
its all real capitalism, it has its bright and its dark sides
@000MrJwright7 жыл бұрын
Whitehorze I see your point, but a corporation is a legal fiction. An identity created and enforced by the state. Being "incorporated" is anti-capitalistic by definition. To pile it on, subsidies, preferential legislation, and Government contracts, welfare, etc. (crony capitalism) don't support Americas capitalist paradise claim. I could be thrown in jail for cutting hair without a license for Christ sake. America is just crappy socialism. I wish more people would admit it. The monster that millennials are protesting is already the thing that they are rooting for. A government for the people. And corporations are people. Legally speaking.
@marshalcraft6 жыл бұрын
I think it's all the laws and regulatiosn which prevent persons from starting their own company/corperation. Lack of economic mobility. In real capitalism, if you willing to work harder than next guy you have a company.
@NaNa-wj8tw6 жыл бұрын
The US hasn’t had capitalism for decades. It’s cronyism today pure and simple.
