I was going to make window plugs with MLV and two 3/4" thick MDF boards with closed cell foam on the sides to seal it to the inside of the window. Do you think I should 'float' the MLV between the two boards with an air space or sandwich the MLV between the two boards?

S, Use MLV. You will get more attenuation with vinyl than air space. make sure you seal the edges against the window frame.

At 5:05 is that a bda with one membran (plywood) only or is that a perforated panel. If so, what is that plywood for?

M, If you build the carbon into the wall, the plywood surface becomes the front diaphragm. Its all about density of material type.

In a mixing room, how about the ceiling?

o, Treating the ceiling is something you do last. You must get the four walls treated first. Ceiling type, amount, and positioning depends on ceiling height and usage.
