Lestat was extremely lonely, he wanted a life companion. He wanted Louis. He wanted him to stay so much he got Claudia turned and Put Louis in a place of Munipulation. Louis couldn't abandon Claudia. Lestat was so hungry for a companion. He just wanted LOUIS.

What people forget about Lestat and Louis that both were very traumatised and damaged by things they went through Lestat had lost everything . He never got a say in wether or not he became a vampire he kidnapped and forced to become a vampire . While Louis was looking for a way out of life.
