Some of us bought "Batman: The Widening Gyre" issue-by-issue because we couldn't wait, and then we bought the TPB so it would all be in one place (without the ads). Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee did a MUCH more complex storyline, with high-detail art, called "Hush", and all 12 parts came out on time, one per month.

Jason Mewes looks like a whole other person now that he's been off the smack for a good long time. He seems more vital, stronger, more of a sexual person than a stoner. No, you're right, I don't regularly listen to the "Smodcast". I bought the DVD in which they animated the podcast, and it just seemed to be a lot of inside jokes and, frankly, stoned giggling. No, I didn't notice much anger ... But anger is healthy. It is as much a part of "really being alive" as falling in love, only much more common. I think a lot of pot smokers fear their own anger, and keep it bottled up by staying stoned. His anger should be released onto the pages of his scripts, not smoked away. I love how the story has become "Kevin Smith HELPED Jason Mewes quit heroin". Kevin was a good friend to Jason, and that's invaluable, but the "help" he offered is beyond the reach of most addicts.
