Thanks. I have been spending ages brush blending, it’s an airbrush for me! Really helpful, well paced and clear tutorial.

Four questions: 1) Is that a hair dryer at 3:30 ? 2) What make / model of airbrush is it? The gravity feed one without a color cup. 3) Why didn't you leave the arms off when you painted the yellow? 4) Did you clear coat before washing? I really enjoyed your technique for painting the yellow. I'm gonna try that with my Space Wolves.
@LesterBursleyMiniatures10 жыл бұрын
1. airbrush---- 2. @ 3:30 Badger 100 SG---- 3. hindsight----- 4. No. I usually do because a gloss will help the wash into the details. Think it was just late and I forgot lol.

Hey Les, Did you have to varnish the model before you put the oil wash on? Just to protect the paint from the spirits? Love your work, man. Keep the great vids coming.

Hey great video but I have an honest question I have really loved uping my painting game and videos like this are a huge help...but the one end of the hobby I never was the elaborate bases how big of a deal are these? As a person who wants to be a better painter I feel I need to up my game a little in this respect but as a person who wants to play these get in the way a lot where is a good happy medium? Thanks

Great stuff, why are you using so many inks?
@LesterBursleyMiniatures10 жыл бұрын
Just a different way of doing stuff. I find inks to be more transparent and it allow the zenithel priming to show through.

How long do you usually have to wait to get to "mostly dry" on the washing? How much would a hairdryer affect dryingtimes? I am trying to master oilwashing and I am having a bit of trouble.
@KilliaK10 жыл бұрын
Hey, well since he said a day @ 27 minutes I guess that's that. A hairdryer could speed it up but I guess you still are talking about several hours drying time.
@granander10 жыл бұрын
Ahh, missed that... thank you!
@aggeagge123410 жыл бұрын
Probably not the best to give advise, but what I've heard a hairdryer helps but be careful with the heat!
@devilcrittergaming977210 жыл бұрын
KilliaK "Dry for about a day" does not refer to the oil wash prior to clean-up, it refers to after clean-up, before varnish.
@granander10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is a bit of a difference... I didn't go back to check. So then we still don't have a timeframe?

You might want to varnish the piece more often, like prior to wash, to protect the paint layers

The nob is completely destroyed because you painted 70% of the miniature with an airbrush, I think it would have looked 10 times netter if you did it completely with a brush... +It's very annoying when you post a comment and everyone starts complaining about it...
