I came here from Camden's reaction+playthrough vid, and this makes me remember his reflection on Aventurine being a Preservation character. He puts on bravado, but nobody else sees how tightly he clutches the chip in his hand. He always intended to make it out alive, as his boss profile and Acheron's call out says on his charade despite Aventurine carelessly tossing his life away. Fear helps you preserve life, especially now that Acheron helped him make meaning out of a meaningless life. His eyes lost their shine, but they glow with determined venom. He's a defensive character who leans on counterattacks.

Yeah thats actually an awesome connection. I thought about how, for perhaps one of the first times in the game- a character's gameplay path cuts straight to what makes their character special. Preservation is almost like his theme. It isn't just cause the IPC- its *who he is*

He's Preservation because he makes fans want him to live so badly. But yeah, once I finished 2.1's story it seemed clear we weren't getting a Companion quest with Aventurine. So much of 2.1's story was focused on him so it seems redundant. There was a part where Aventurine was talking to Ratio and the lines matched what their illusions said at the start of the Penacony story so that just doubly confirmed it.

I have impatiently been waiting for him (not just because I want another 5 star preservation - love you Gepard but you cannot do all the work.) Yes, I’ll be pulling for Aventurine. I need another defense character. I already have an OP healer 4* character (if you e built him right, you all know who I’m referring to), who can cause 20k-50k+ when attacking an enemy to instigate a battle (and can take out at least half the enemies or all before the battle even begins). Yes, this is a 4* character. If you’re new, in HSR that means there’s more to this character than meets the eye and he’s likely to get a 5* version. Yeah, I need Aventurine. Gepard and Fu Xuan have their limits depending the team and the enemy - I need someone that has Imaginary damage. Happy Pulling Everyone, for whoever you’ll be pulling for - or, Happy Saving, if you’re waiting for a different character release/re-release. 😊
