Genius is actually great. I don't see how it can't be, many lines and songs have objective meanings that need to be annotated in my opinion. It's not perfect, as the only way it could be would be if the artists themselves annotated every last line of every song they've ever made, but it's a pretty great platform to understand hidden concepts in the music you listen to everyday. Of course there's the occasional awful annotations, but that's why there's a system to fix those annotations through upvotes and downvotes. It's a great website, no argument needed but I still wanted to provide one

Matthew Frazier There are a lot of erroneous interpretations of lyrics on genius and as Anthony noted rabid fans have a tendency to exaggerate the allegorical significance present in the songs written by their favorite artists. Conversely, when the explanations for the lyrics actually make sense, it’s nice not be scratching your head the next time you listen to them. Also it’s really cool when the genius articles come with citations from the artist so you know it’s legit.

Leaking an album, or making a leak gain traction by downloading/listening to it is incredibly disrespectful. Not only to the band, but to the fans who are waiting for new music from the band. A great example of this is Brand News third album. Fight Off Your Demons was leaked, and Jesse scrapped everything to write a whole new album. So yeah, we got FOYD, but it wasn't completely finished yet. And we had to wait an awful amount of time to hear more Brand New. Some would say that FOYD being leaked was great, because it led to The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, (aka more Brand New) but the fact that Jesse, and the rest of the band had to go back into the studio after an already unbelievably stressful, and depressing time in their lives to record a completely different album is an example of what having an album leaked can do to a band and it's fanbase.

@@isetmfriendsofire then... what does he produce.
@isetmfriendsofire3 жыл бұрын
@@themadclown4077 He is a producer in the film-like sense rather than the typical music-like sense. He funds the songs and gets the artists.
@themadclown40773 жыл бұрын
@@isetmfriendsofire yes but were the hell is he getting these funding. Also alot if the artist he funds are already like millionaires. He usually goes for the more famous people. I'm just confuse how and why he even got all this fame.

The more I watch these intros, the more I feel like you're about to release an experimental jazz EP and I feel like I'm gonna buy 20 copies of that. Why experimental jazz? - He played Bass twice in the last 5 LET'S ARGUEs -This intro sees him toying around with this gadget Like this comment if you would like to see him do that. If Cal Chuchesta can release a rap album and have a filthy frank feature, Anthony fantano can have an experimental jazz instrumental EP. Yes, I'm going on a tangent about Waterthony Melontano making a fucking experimental jazz EP. If he ain't doin' it, I'm doin it!

The thing with calpurnia having recognition is because finn is in the band, dont get me wrong they have good songs but nothing outstanding, only finn is keeping the band in peoples eyes and ears
@apothecurio6 жыл бұрын
My exact thoughts. They are decent but SUPER safe. Safe than some pop music. So I find them a bit bland, but they are 15 and around that age. But it doesn't matter. Visionary's can be any age.
@steadyrhythms95716 жыл бұрын
to be honest I was a bit disappointed by their music, Finn’s voice needs to mature (love the dude but gotta be honest). idk it’s kinda unfortunate, if I had the amount of production quality available that they have I could be making what I would consider far more ambitious (and hopefully better) music. I’m mainly salty about it because I’m 16 and I can’t even get a band together and have to record all my instruments by myself onto GarageBand on my phone so everything sounds so bad because the audio quality can only be so good. I just wish they could do better with the opportunity they have, because I feel like I could be an example of how age doesn’t matter in the maturity and quality of writing music. This probably sounds like the most un-self-award and pretentious comment ever, and I will admit those aren’t my intentions, but they certainly can come across that way, but I’m not sure how to make my point without sounding like a total jerk.
@apothecurio6 жыл бұрын
No I feel the same way. In a very egotistical sounding statement. If I had that kind of equipment. I wouldnt be safe at all. I would try to demolish every rule that I could now break with all the equipment. They have the ultimate music play ground. and in stead of making new imaginary worlds in the playground. they are just using the playground in its most literal sense. (I dont know if that analogy make sense to you, But it does to me)
