tbh I feel like the SHOCK AND OUTRAGE over the card is somewhat unwarranted**- Phoenix goes out of his way to circle around it as more of a "possibility" than evidence in it's own right. It's an explanation for why the card- which they've proven *was* replaced- would need replacing, and once the secret passage is uncovered it's pretty redundant. **except by Apollo, who was being yanked around the whole trial, just lost his job, and had Phoenix on a bit of a pedestal until that revelation- he can have all the SHOCK AND OUTRAGE he wants
@loftypenalty912 ай бұрын
I would definitely say it is warranted because it's not the actual card that Kristoph took from the crime scene but Phoenix was saying that it was which is a blatant lie which could've cost Apollo his attorneys badge, losing his job is one thing losing the badge is much worse, he would have to find a different career.
@o0Evo0o2 ай бұрын
@@loftypenalty91 spoilers in my second point here jsyk I did say the outrage from Apollo was warranted lol on a personal level it definitely felt like a betrayal, but from an audience perspective we can see that Phoenix didn't take as big a risk as he implies- 1. He didn't actually say he took it from the crime scene- his exact words: "It's mine. That is, I picked it up at the Borscht Bowl Club that night after the murder had occurred." I'd bet he took it from a back-up deck at the restaurant (again, spoilers past here!) 2. Phoenix immediately claiming responsibility for the card shielded Apollo from responsibility. Phoenix was screwed over 7 years ago not by presenting the fraudulent evidence, but by Misham testifying that the fraudulent evidence was *commissioned.* If Phoenix could've proved he didn't *know* it was fraudulent, he likely would've gotten the same slap on the wrist as Edgeworth did in 1-5. In this case, Phoenix would've testified that Apollo didn't know, supported by his change of attorney from Kristoph to Apollo being so last-minute that it's in the court record (notably unlike Zak's switch from Kristoph to Phoenix 7 years ago)

Now let's work with the syllables. "De" is the stressed syllable, and it sounds like in "debt". "Vo" is pronounced somewhat similar to how you pronounce it in "von Karma")). Finally, "chka" is hard to mispronounce). It's like "chika", but without "i". Now, you have it: "dévochka". You're welcome))

@@o0Evo0o Spoilers: In case Crystal is reading this, or anyone else who hasn’t play the best game in the series yet: - In Investigations 2, Edgeworth has a struggle where he wonders whether he should stay as a prosecutor, or become a defence attorney, like his father I know that probably sounds stupid, but the game does a really good job at actually making you wonder what path he’s going to choose. The PIC (or whatever it will be called in the official translation) tries to strip Edgeworth of his badge, the second case has Edgeworth act as a defence attorney’s assistant, in the third case he ends up solving the last case his father worked on before death, and in the fourth case he actually forfeits his badge entirely, making him work the last two cases without being a prosecutor In the end, Miles decides that he wants to save people as a prosecutor, reaffirming his stance, thus completing his arc Most people I’ve seen who LP all the Ace Attorney games play I2 after the Apollo Trilogy, and that completely spoils all of that development and character work, and pretty much ruins that whole storyline. The main reason I’m commenting this is because it is especially annoying when I see people who play I2 after DD and complain that the arc is stupid or obvious because they already know that he becomes the Chief Prosecutor in DD I think it be a smart choice to play the Investigations Collection between AJ and DD. That being said, I don’t think she will, which is unfortunate. We’re talking about the person who played The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles first, after all

@@AvertAT spoiler break nah, Edgeworth's development in the main games was figuring out what being a "prosecutor" meant to him- there was 0 chance a spin-off game would walk that back. Spinoffs like Investigations shouldn't be approached as though they'll cover series impacting developments- they're character pieces with fluff, fanservice, and an internally contained plot because by nature they have to be supplemental. (+imo the AA:I games make his general lack of action in AA:SoJ stand out even more, because it feels like he really ought to have more international strings to pull) And if you're going to play it mid series, shouldn't it be between the trilogies ie in the 7 year gap when they actually take place?
