Same here. One concern I had was the pressure of how big Chapters 1 & 2 had gotten would get to him at some point. Trying to twist it to appease the unexpected big crowd. But nope! He's not pushing himself! Even with the wrist issue, he's still simply trying to make his dream come to life. And I'm excited to see how it goes!

Genuinely the most satisfied I've been with a newsletter so far. Ignoring the amazing art for a second, this letter really made me feel like the game was actually on its way. All Toby described for things that needed to be finished for 4 sounded like polish mostly, meaning testing, translating, and your typical prep for an actual game release are going to quickly get the focus. This obviously still means months, optimistically end of the year but realistically 1st half of next year. But hey, thinking about how much we've waited so far, how much we will get when its out, and how much faster of a steady release we're going to be getting going forwards, this is a turning point. Stay determined people. We're nearing the end of the dark. Focus on other aspects of your life, other interests, or just buckle down and brace for it cause we're in the final stretch.

Yeah, I think a lot of people who aren't artist or creators may not realize just how much work it takes TO create. It's faster to consume a work than to make it, and each type of art brings its own challenges.

i've been practicing myself on C(though I would like to use RPGMaker), and it took me about 6 hours just to get basic functionality for a RPG style fight(no images, just text)! It's long and could be considered grueling, but I find it fun.

I appreciate how Toby wants to make sure these next three chapters are truly worth the money. Fans would definitely be willing to pay for one or two individual chapters, but Toby isn't comfortable charging people unless he's delivering something bigger than the previous free chapters.

I always kinda felt a bit weird about people feeling weird about the "doesnt know what it means to be ralsei like" scene. Idk i found it slightly relatable since i often feel like i don't fully know what the hell i'm like from an outside perspective. Idk maybe my sense of self is screwed up after the pandemic.

Nah, I think it's an understandable feeling. In Ralsei's case there's also just the layer of darkners and his belief that they're subservient to lightners that adds some intrigue to it all.

My main take away is that while Chapters 3 & 4 is nearing completion, creating both chapters were only half the battle! Uploading them to PC, Consoles, translating them into Japanese, AND testing out new the new GameMaker feature is a whole other story! At the end of the day, I’m pleased that Deltarune is just coming along nicely. Hopefully these big strides in development can make creating future chapters smoother!

TBH, I really appreciate that one of the reasons it's taking a while is because they're working towards simultaneous release for all platforms. Honestly the longer we wait for new chapters, the more excited I am. I really don't get people who are complaining that it takes so long for new chapters to be released, that's the fun part! The fandom is going to be alive for way longer, and the time between the new chapters is actually very needed, considering how much hidden stuff those chapters have, to analyze them all. Im really glad Toby and his team isn't rushing it.

I’m glad they are taking the time to polish the game as much as possible for the paid release. They were some small inconsistencies between chapter 1 and 2 that made them feel a little disjointed, and I hope they fix that to make the full experience more cohesive.

I was thinking the same thing about it releasing sometime in 2025. Then a thought hit me (just a thought, not saying nor trying to put blind hope or rushing or anything like that). But thinking about chapter 2 when it really shows who Noelle is and the Spamton Sweeps stakes taking a dive into Noelle’s family/lore. I would think that they could possibly be aiming towards a potential release in December. Reason why is they recently showed more lore in Noelle’s sister, Dess, and evening hinting that we’re trying to find her. So it’s a possibility that they could be hoping to release Chapters 3 and 4. But that’s just a thought, A GAME THOUGHT… (It’s not the same…)

Yeah, though that depends entirely on the company, too. We've had leaks from within big companies before, but it's not guaranteed, and even Undertale had a similar experience, but IIRC it wasn't leaked.

I think deltarune chapters 3 and 4 releasing late this year is a very real possibility since all that should only take 2-4 months if I had to guess since everything is being finalized, bugs are being fixed, and release is being prepped

Im guessing that the chapter will be released around December to January. At the earliest. Thats about 5-6 months ish from now which does give them alot of time for certain things, however it could also be released even later depending if things go wrong or third-parties (getting the game rated, Console publishers accepting the game on there platform, extra) decided to be slow or difficult.

Here is a stupid tought of mine Toby said that one of his friend that played trough the unfinished chapter 4 said that toby should name every single chair, since it chariel had a name. With this comentary, we know that the chapter 4 will have chairs. Now i know this is a uselles information, But just think about something: what was the last time a chair had a had a certain focus (besides chariel and the throne of gods that serve more as a joke)? Exactly, *the spamtom sweepstakes* More especificaly that page that we had that pair of colored eyes. That (probably) are The same eyes we see on the queen's basement.
