I do want to follow-up with saying. I'm very glad to see your going to start with the servo upgrade with the retrofit plate first, and then going the extra distance to show the upgraded X-MAXX servo. I look forward to hopefully getting your thoughts at the end of the series about which one you will recommend for our MAXX'S. Thanks again Greg.

I just got my Maxx a couple of days ago and I LOVE it. The WideMaxx kit is on the way via UPS, but I'd love to get the rest of the upgrade parts. I'm laid off right now though, so I probably should be responsible and NOT buy another $500 in parts lol.

I got me a part list in my bookmarks, I finished buying and installing all the upgrades I wanted to do on my slash 4x4 just the other day, now im working on my Maxx, not that I need them, but I want to, and then of course save the stock parts as spares if I do mess up an aftermarket part.
@Caz_kitten4 жыл бұрын
It should come that way but it’s part of the fun of the hobby. Making it yours. Just like real vehicles not everyone wants the same options. I do think ut should already have some of themon there for the price.

i also hav th maxx and was wonderin if u will replace th stock servo saver
@mcdingus50814 жыл бұрын
I'd love to see the GPS module/ telemetry expander with the telemetry options to see if it's worth it. Also might be worth mentioning- the wheel hubs that need to be used for the Maxx if you have the plastic driveshafts are actually the ones they make for the Revo (part# 5853). If you upgrade to the metal driveshafts they use the ones that are spec'd on the Traxxas website. Alot of people are finding that out the hard way. And just my personal opinion on this- the Widemaxx kit is sacrilege to put on this vehicle. Too many people have been promoting that to make it more stablle- but there is a large and non-vocal group out there that feel there is no need for it, and that it ruins the unique characteristics of this truck. After all, both the Revo and Kraton are out in the market and can be had cheaper than investing in a Maxx with this upgrade. Quite frankly, any part that "improves" the strength of the Maxx is really expensive, and the stock vehicle already stands up to a ton of abuse. The cost to replace those "inferior" plastic parts is very little- and makes the Maxx a better value than many would say it is. You're better off just investing in spares for all of the common breakage parts and you'll never be left high and dry during a bash session. Just a little advice for the more fiscally minded bashers out there- as if there is such a thing.

Have the widemaxx kit on. Looking for stronger steering what servo should I use. I see I can use the High torque #2255 or should I use the #2085x. Would also like to mention I beat mine up pretty good.
@rcdriver4 жыл бұрын
For the standard width build of this truck I felt the 2255 would be a good option to try. When I go to the wide kit, I’m going to drop in the 2085x. I can probably give you a better idea of what’s what after this series is wrapped up.

What part number is the turnbuckles i would like get an idea on those because the stock servo on my MAXX seized up and now I’m saving up for a new one. I’m guessing if I keep the stock turnbuckles on with that metal gear servo I have no idea if it will work. But I might have to get those turnbuckles for better durability. Hope those turnbuckles improve the steering durability when you’re done with the build and testing it.
@RickandKidsHobbyTime4 жыл бұрын
Firstly I love your videos, so much enthusiasm for our hobby! Secondly just a quick question, not trying to be critical just for my information, why would you put yourself through changing suspension arms and metal driveshafts, just to a few videos later or on the wide suspension kit and different metal axles? Again just asking I'm confused, and I try to watch every episode of your channel. Thank you, Rick.

@Mark_51504 жыл бұрын
The truck should just come built this way from Traxxas, especially for it's price compared to it competitors.
@rwestvang4 жыл бұрын
You could argue that the higher price is warranted by less breaking parts.
@Mark_51504 жыл бұрын
@@rwestvang I bought 2 Traxxas vehicles this year for my kids. The slash shock cap came off on its first roll over in the grass within 3 minutes of owning it, the Bandit VXL broke a rear hub on its first pack, not to mention the IQ tech requires an additional module. The Arrma Granite BLX I also bought this year has taken a beating from the whole family without breaking a thing. So in my expreience, Traxxas isn't good quality, only a marketing scheme to force you into their upgrades. Most of the Traxxas vehicles have been around for a long time, the normal thing for a company to do would be to strive for continuous improvement, not keep the product the same and force the customers into additional costs. I also picked up Associated and Losi vehicles this year, I'm done with Traxxas.

Did anyone else cringe when you saw the non RPM suspension "upgrade" parts...😬 Also, a steel spur gear??? You guys are really trying to gernade that drive line, aren't you? Gotta leave at least one sacrificial part in there, might as be the spur, usually the easiest to replace.
@redhoward114 жыл бұрын
Traxxas is wayyyyy overpriced!! That's why Arrma is outselling them, people aren't stupid enough to buy a $530.00 1/10 4s monster truck, then dump $300.00 into parts on it. At that price you could build a freaking Tekno or Pro Line......
