Can you build an interface like in Max4Live, or Reaktor? The grid view is kind off messy just for use.
@bitwig4 жыл бұрын
You can use the device Remote Controls to build a simplified interface. That way you have access to parameters without having to open the Grid editor.

I keep wondering, do we put Filter after Amp EG or the other way around? Or are they essentially the same thing so I can do whatever I think it looks good?
@bitwig4 жыл бұрын
That's a matter of taste. Experiment!
@KnzoVortex4 жыл бұрын
The only difference would be any sustained ringing from the filter might be cut off by an amp envelope with a short release. Otherwise they should be identical.

@BobingerAudio5 жыл бұрын
It already is capable of microtonal scaling you just have to patch it
@wi2rd5 жыл бұрын
@@BobingerAudio No it's not, not properly. It needs simple per note scaling, which is currently not possible. You can get it working by adding an oscillator per note, but that is no good. Unless I am missing something, there is not good solution just yet.

@bitwig4 жыл бұрын
Hey Bernie, this video series is really focused on learning, and we often find the simpler sounds most suitable for that. A vast amount of presets for Poly Grid and FX Grid are included with Bitwig Studio. Hear some of them here: soundcloud.com/bitwig/sets/sounds-from-the-grid
@BromeliadBro4 жыл бұрын
This video is clearly not about showing off a "convincing sound"...it's about basic patching. YOU build the convincing sound, since you're the only one who knows what "convincing" means.

Why are all the modules male?
@dorsia69384 ай бұрын
I think it might be an electrical engineering thing. I'm studying it now and I noticed a "slang" term is to refer to components as a "guy". I have started saying things like "he's connected to this guy, and so is this guy here" when talking about some breadboard prototype 😂

Thanks, that's a really helpful synthesis tutorial, what I don't understand is how do you know each envelope & filter etc are all male elements & not female? They could also be referred to as transgender, pan-sexual & whatever else weird things they are etc these days. That would make synthesis even more mindbogglingly confusing.
