Ello my dears!
We are back with another part of St Henry's Church. Today we start on the church yard properly, we put some more overgrown graves in, the wedding photo arch and we make a start on the community garden! I'll be back next with more!

I do love a walk in an old graveyard 🪦. Please consider adding the cat or dog hang out trait ( obviously locking the doors so they can't enter the church) I just imagine an old graveyard would be prime rat and mice hunting spots for strays. Or maybe even a dog like greyfriars Bobby turns up each night

I know you're not gonna see this in forever but it might help for future builds. There are some hanging lights on the tree debug/live edit catalog that came with Cottage Living that probably would have looked gorgeous in that photo area. I think they hang in some world tree but I don't remember where but you can access them by themselves, same with one that's supposed to wrap around a tree but it's thereby itself and you can use it on any tree you want :) Have a happy holiday! Beautiful build! I love it when you do your native, English architecture. I think the beehives should be in the back corner of the community garden. I think it’s odd having them right next to the gate/entrance, but they’d also be closer to the wildflowers back there.

I really love the wedding photo area in the build! I can also imagine that it's very useful for the gameplay later on. I kind of imagined the community garden having some of the oversized crops . They could use it for harvest fest decorations and also support poor people with food. If there is a place for a flower arranging table you could also put flowers in the garden and the arranging table could be use for wedding bouqueta (and church decoration). I love to watch your amazing builds! inspiring as always

you could use the short height windows on the edge of the green house where the fence signs up with. That way you can have some be open.

You should put some children's chalk wall decals on the garden gate, so the reason is blue was because it was a community project to build the gate when the old one wass too old and rusted, and the kids painted and decorated it

Yesterday I watched an episode Antiques Roadshow where they were at the ruins of Bolton Abbey which was destroyed by Henry the 8th during the dissolution of the monasteries. Later they built a church in the grounds while preserving the ruins. I immediately thought of this build and then there you go putting in some ruins :) They managed to save the altar stone and it is in the Church.

I hope you have a great holiday! I just wanted to say that the build is coming along beautifully. I think the greenhouse swatches are the screen/netting swatch not the glass swatch. having a dog grave by the entrance of one of the cemeteries (a cute church grim) would be pretty cool!

Man, i lovinging this series. I also just caught up with the lore so far, and i can't wait to see where the story goes. Love the church. it's so beautiful. Love the old grave yard. But what i find interesting is that they built this church on the ruins of an old one, which is intriguing. Wouldn't there be some areas of the old church still assessable now because you mentioned that you may put a cript in. Also, i love how henford-on-bagly is coming along. Also, what if father Mathew wasn't just a vicar but a paranormal investigator/ exorcist. He has been on the trail of a killer cult for many years. They always seem to give him the slip. The trail went cold a decade ago, so he settled down in henford-on-bagly. However, he's now hearing rumors about cultists, evil chickens, living gnomes, shadow beasts, and with the recent murder he has a feeling a long-lost friend is back in town. I know im late to this, but hey, it would be cool.

I know you're not using CC in your Save file, but if anyone wanted it, Around The Sims had a swing that you could attach to trees, and it worked. I think Ravasheen did one as well.

not sure if anyone else has pointed this out yet, but part of the crenellations (? googled that word and still not sure it's right LMAO) on the church might be in the clean swatch, on the community garden side and near the cypress tree at 1:14. i thought i saw another spot in an earlier video, but i could be misremembering. love how this church is turning out so far!

Not to be a bore but with the hydrangea's in the yard i don't think you can have both blue and pink hydrangea together - i believe its because the colour of the flowers are dependent on the ph of the soil so you cant have high and low ph soil in the same spot to be able to have both pink and blue flowers. Not a gardener but I remember growing up asking why my grandparents had blue hydrangea but our garden had pink, ive never been a pink girly so i asked if we could plant some of grandads in our garden and being told they were the same already and the colour depends on the soil.

This is true, but in some soils or depending which colour you initially plant, you can get a mixture of pink and blue as the plant transitions while adapting to the soil type

Morbid side note: Hydrangeas are sensitive to PH levels and will change the color of their flowers based on the soil PH, so having multicolored hydrangeas near a graveyard is pretty accurate bc the decomposing bodies affect the PH of the soil 😳
