I'm on a personal style journey and recently found your channel, you say so many nuggets that stick with me! I'm currently a stay at home mom and have found the value in getting fully dressed and ready everyday. Now I'm ready for a spontaneous coffee with friends or trip to the playground, or library at anytime. It's a real snowball affect for how I feel, parent and move through my days. Some mom friends think i'm crazy for wearing "hard" pants all day at home, but now i'm used to it. I no longer wearing athletic clothes unless i'm actually working out (which I do first thing in the morning now too- total game changer for me). Writing all this makes me feel kind of cringy, but i'm also so proud of the changes i've made in my life after a lot of trial and error. Thanks for the tips an inspiration!

I took my 13 year old daughter shopping the other day. Teaching her that trying things on is not a commitment to buy and that trying clothes on helps you learn about yourself and style. She showed me a top and was really flip flopping on whether she like it or not. So I used your words. "If its not a hell yes, its a hell no" She smiled and said "Ok. Its a no then" I love listening and learning from you so a bunch of different styles of content is just perfect with me. thank you for sharing.

I do think teaching preteens and teens this concept can be immensely helpful. I wish I was taught this when I was young, but now at least my own teen can internalize this as she grows older.

wow and wow. totally got a BFO (blinding flash of the obvious) in this video. at 11:39 - 'this is how i want to feel, these are my three style words, this is how i want my outfit and my clothes to reflect that feeling; what can i grab from my wardrobe that plays that role?"...it all just came together for me, and helps me understand how to work with my three style words. THANK YOU!!!!!

Fun video! I like vlogs once in a while. Toronto looks lovely. Wow, you are so strong! Nice to see Jeff. Honestly, ‘how I want to feel’ is a radical concept for choosing what I’ll wear. Most always I want to feel comfortable, casual, put-together. It’s very rare that I dress up (occasion.) I’m leaning towards dressy-casual if I want to be in more than jeans and a Tshirt. Maybe it’s the time of my life. (66 y.o.) Love your channel!

Love the video ❤ I recently discovered that my aspirational style word is ‚modern‘ which changed so much about how I view my clothes. Before I thought it was ‚classic‘ or ‚elegant‘, but in those styles I always felt too preppy. My first word is casual btw. Now it makes so much sense why so many casual outfits felt boring or too much like the ‚girl next door‘, because they where missing some modern elements. I’m glad I figured that out because now my outfits feel more like me 😊

Hello Christina, I am well over 50 ( just turned 56), but I find your channel very helpful. I completely changed my wardrobe around 50 because my body is not the way it used to be ( to put it mildly 😅). But through that I really decluttered lots of my fantasy outfits, keeping the things that work with my current state of mind ( and business). Don't have any garments with patern , stipes are basic, right? Still love red , but I love simple, elegant peaces in basic, neutral colours. Lots of love from Belgrade, Serbia

I've loved some of the videos you and Alyssa have done on using 3 (or 3+) words to learn how to express yourself. I also have watched a few from other people. One I saw the other day gave me a lightbulb moment, so to speak, about the most important word -- how I want to feel. NOT how I want others to see me. That's a different issue altogether and not something I control. How do I want to feel? I want to feel confident, more than anything else. There are a few different elements in that, which will take me awhile to tease out, but physical comfort is one of them. Appropriateness for occasion is another. Reflecting my personality is another. So I want to feel confident, and now I can move in the direction of attaining that.

The collagen powder has been absolutely life changing for me, I cannot express this enough. It took like 9-12 months to START seeing results, but I have had incredibly fine/thinning hair for the better part of the last 10-15 Years and this is First time my hair has been feeling a little bit normal. I haven’t added anything else into my supplements/routine, so I can definitely attribute this change to the collagen powder usage. Now I’m religious in taking it daily, and I ven make sure to travel with it, so I don’t skip any days. I hope this helps others. 😊

@@szfrj Hello - I’ve been exclusively taking the Collagen Peptides brand, unflavored, I just add the recommended amount, two scoops, with my coffee every day. The vanilla flavor is good for coffee too, but it tastes too much like powdered creamer to me and I’m not a fan of that.

@@szfrj I hope it helps, but yes, it’s just like diet and exercise, we gotta keep doing it for it to work, I’m speaking to myself here, lol. But now I even travel with it, so that I don’t miss a day! Thanks a lot for this really cool video, I'm glad to see more of Toronto. As for personal style, I feel like I am at a turning point lately, reinventing myself in many ways, and I struggle with how to make this work stylewise, being a bit lost between who I feel I no longer am and the dreamself that isn't me either, without getting rid of everything I own! I would love to see more vlogs on your channel, and have a request if you are looking for new topics to explore: I am truly impressed by the way you committed yourself into sport, and would be curious to know more (initial goals, current goals, successes and fails, how long you practice and how it has evolved so far (how many times a week, what kind of exercices, how you calculate your food and proteins...) since I am starting a similar journey here (here means Paris, France, so please, don"t mind my English mistakes). Thank you so much for being so inspiring :)

Then when all the stuff with minimalism started, I only confirmed what I thought- this was me. But then some very bad things happenned and to continue to work, and live I had to start taking antidepressants. And man, then it all started...I just wanted everything! I manage now to calm down, but its hard...I wish I could be like before where I wasnt buying..what to do..stop the pills? I dont know..
