What a dream to be able to live on an estate with your mother, such a blessing to be close to family! My son says when he grows up he wants to buy a property with five houses, one for mom&dad and one for each sibling so we can all be together, and it's the dream isn't it!

some garden tips for you: if you want straighter carrots, dig down where you're sowing and fill a loo roll tube with soil and then sow the seed in there, the loo roll tube will biodegrade naturally. We did this for the first time this year after getting knobbly carrots like yours and have only got long straight carrots this year! start your broc off in small pots of compost and when big enough to go outside grow under mesh rather than that metal hash stuff you have, the mesh will stop butterflies from laying eggs on the leaves, once the brocolli is more mature you won't need the mesh but definitely need it at the start. last year we got caterpillars and only managed one head, this year we used mesh and all of my brocollis produced a head, good luck, love watching your garden content. x

Hi Josie. Your garden is beautiful. Sorry I can’t help myself, but I was always taught to dead head flowers by cutting back to a junction, either a node or on roses go back to the next five leaves. Can’t wait to see how it develops for next year. I love your vlogs 💕

Baby birds will leave the nest when the get bigger, and sometimes end up on the ground. They do that to draw predators (like climbing snakes) away from the nest. They will call for Mama with a unique call so Mama can find them and she will keep tending to them wherever they are until they're fully able to find their own food. Here in the woods of NC, we see this a lot, so I finally asked a Nature Ranger what to do... you CAN put them back in the nest, but they'll probably just hop out again. When they're really wee babies, you can put them back in the nest to keep them safe. My dog, Norman has found a few NC Cardinals on the ground this year! Hope that helps!

Beautiful video, Josie! Sunflowers are gorgeous...but you said an "Ibiza debrief" and also said while you were in Ibiza that you would speak more about some of the trip's challenges post-lockdown, and I was looking forward to it, especially since you are one the lucky few who got to go abroad and can report back for the rest of us. Thanks so much!

That Steamline luggage is so beautiful! It reminds me of an old brand of American luxury luggage famous in the 1970’s called “French Luggage,” named for the creator Charles French. He launched the brand in 1945 or so, and like your Steamline luggage, it was beautifully made and featured high-quality leather and suede as well as tapestry and beautiful patterns and gold plated hardware. It was crazy expensive when I bought my pieces many years ago and they still look beautiful today. And even though the company has gone out of business it is still possible to buy pieces for pennies on the dollar on eBay.

Welcome home Josie and Charlie! Such a lovely vlog, so many goodies in this one it's hard to know where to start - beauty products, fashion, home, garden and I love the Steamline luggage collection. Glebe Farm is such great value - I live in Indiana, USA, and the farms here charge an entrance fee as well as fees for the flowers - which added together can be very expensive, and not very family friendly! Xx

8 hour cream is such a childhood memory for me. My mum used to smear it all over my and my brother’s face before going skiing to protect from the wind and cold. Haven’t used it in 40 years, but I think I’d recognise the smell, unless that has changed.

Josie, there's a big chance mom pigeon is somewhere around watching her baby from a distance. I had two young pigeons in my garden, who could not fly yet and they hid mainly in zucchini and pumpkin leaves ... their mother often watched them from a nearby birch.

Josie, the squash or courgettes that look like they're rotting are un-pollinated fruit. If you're getting developing fruits then it's ok to leave them but if you're finding lots of non developed ones you may need to do some hand pollinating (possible the bees haven't been as active because of cool/rainy days). I do this quite a lot (loads of guides online as to how to do it). Sometimes we just have to give them a helping hand!
