Let's Check Out the NEW Kristy Rice Palette | My First Impressions

Today I'm playing around with the new ‪@KristyRice‬ watercolor palette! I'm using my favorite sketchbook and even the Kristy Rice brushes (otherwise...I feel like I'm cheating haha). Let's see what I think of the color choices and how the paints perform during the swatch tests.

Thank you sooo much for the review, appreciate it sooo much!!! I released pigment info the first week of launch last year and have them noted in the questions section of the Amazon listing and also in the community section of my channel :) No dyes❤️There was a bit of a language barrier with my manufacturer so initially I shared that these were dye boosted but my manufacturer clarified that my custom formula is not dye based but pigment based. Thanks again!!

Thanks for califying Kristy! I’ve seen a few reviews and people have commented it’s only dye based not pigment based. I had these in my saved but after learning they were dye based it was hard to purchase but now they have moved to cart. Thank you for clarifying if I watch more videos I’ll make sure to share info! Many said you said in a live that they were dye based so I think this is where the info is being grabbed from.

I just got the brushes and paint set! School just started so I haven’t had time to test them out. I’ve watched her video and the way she uses that fluorescent yellow is amazing. She mixes it with every color and it makes whatever she is painting come alive!

I have the pallet & got it just because the colors were fun! It is in my travel watercolor case along with some serious watercolors from Winsor & Newton and Daniel Smith. So the best of both worlds!

I have both this pallet and her brush set. I was afraid of the neon yellow, but it mixes so well with the teal for some beautifully rich greens. Just so much fun! I actually have my brushes and pallet in the bag the brushes came in too. 💖✨💖

That canvas bag is so nifty. I took it with my summer palette and it fit in there great. I just love everything she makes. I'll definitely have to try mixing up that neon yellow.

Oh the tin itself it’s beautiful. I love Kristy. Really the pans remind me of W&N student Cotman, that cannot be bad… she likes fluorescent colors, and it’s there!

not gonna lie, I've been looking forward to this one. the palette isn't available over here as far as I can tell, so I'll just enjoy it vicariously. there are a couple colours in there that I'd never choose myself, but I do like how they all look together and I bet it'll be fun to play around with them. would love to see you play some more with them!

I've had my palette for about a month now and I am absolutely loving it! The neon yellow is fantastic for mixing fun, intense colors. But, my absolute favorite is the luscious purple! YUM!

On Amazon she posted the pigment info But didn't list like the combination of pigments because they were proprietor combinations. It's in that question and answers spot on Amazon

Thankyou for showing us these, Kori! As others have said, I'd love to see something you create (I''ll add to that, preferably your own, rather than colouring book art, please). It'll be good to see if you use that 'Fearless' yellow, which, from the comments and your reaction, seems to be striking fear instead!

The paints are pigment based as per Kristi’s comment on a correction from the manufacturer.
