WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT!!!: Im at 15, and its my first day 2day for using a tampon. Im going to a waterpark tomorrow and had just gotten my period earlier this morning. Ive never inspected down there and I literally just learned today where my vagoo is, but it feels so great to learn more about my body! From my past experience there was a stigma for tampons because "it has to be put in there", and my parents or mom never taught me about these matters. And questions like, "Will it hurt?", "How does it even work?", "Im scared..." Trying new things is scary because we don't have experience with it, but a great way to think about new things is, have an optismistic mindset and trust yourself! Especially with stuff regarding our own body! I was scared at first, but watching youtube videos from specialists plus reading reddit threads from women and their experience with tampons helped a lot! Its nice to know you're not alone, and you'll get through it because many women have experienced their first try with tampons🤝 FOR MY FIRST TIME, I contemplated for hours... I thought about doing it in my bed, but I finally mustered up the courage to do it in my bathroom. I was fr squatting on the toilet seat, but I kept a mirror at the side so I know where I would insert the tampon. I also wiped as much blood from outside the vagoo so I could hold the lips and spread it apart. Spreading the lips apart helped me see where the correct hole was. Then I inserted the tampom in, and I dont do straight upwards, I started horizontal and tried to navigate the tampon where it could move further, and when I saw that the top applicator part was like almost at the tip of the hole, I removed the applicator. I made sure that most of the tampon applicator was in, not halfway thru. And I removed the applicator and donee. I used (pocket i think?) Tampax Pearl, LIGHT absorbence tampon. It's pretty small and skinny.

Recommendation: seam rip the left over pant fabric and use fabric glue or hot glue to make them into a tote bag (you can even use old belts or a cheap rope for the straps). I think it would be super cute!!
