I like doll customization as a broad term because you’re right, it covers a lot of what people do, but using only doll repaint as a term doesn’t include people who do major customizations. I enjoy your work even when you’re not giving us a complicated doll that has 50 mil body mods. Your art is amazing. And I rather see a more easy project from someone I like than to see nothing because the big projects are burning you out.

He looks cute! Indeed, the design is simple, but that was the idea for this video after all. It looks more like a doll you’d play with than something I’d put in display. I think that you achieved your goals with this project

I love your style of doll customization, you're so honest about the process, and its really refreshing. Compared to certain other channels its so nice to see someone complete a project without so much excessive bullshit. I also really appreciate your focus on male dolls, not a lot of other channels do that.
@hisnameisAkin4 ай бұрын
glad you like the way i work but everyone works differently and everyone has different preferences. yeah, focusing on male dolls is kinda what distinguish me from other doll customizing channels, but it makes sense because male dolls are hard to come by. i'm just lucky i managed to stock up a good number of them haha

I like the idea of doll customization better. I was wondering about the eyebrow piercing holes too. the MSC may have sealed the holes a bit during the layering process. The doll in the end looks amazing I really love charlie's hairstyle! and his green turtleneck compliments his eyes.

hehe, well, i love this & i love him. I genuinely clicked on the video bc i thought it was merely a faceup but it was also hair & sewing. i really liked the video cuz it was like a 101 on customisation. its so easy 2 take in 4 some1 like me who has no idea where 2 start with doll customisation. im so inexperienced that the long videos intimid8 me ... though i love both. ur years of experience makes him look gr8 even if u think its "generic."

Personally, I think repaint only refers to removing a doll's face and then redoing it, no matter what medium you use. Costumizing would be the general, all-encompassing term for altering a doll's base materials.

I always felt as if the proces of cutting and removing the hair and glue would be not that complicated to do but the one reroot I have done made me realize even such a small part of styling an OOAK's is so complex. Its understandable with how much work goes into them (and with the performance on youtube) why you feel so tired. By the way do you have a tutorial on how to do a doll sized shirt?

doll customization is the better blanket term. if all youre doing is painting over certain parts of the original sculpting then it makes sense to call it repainting, but it does not make sense to include sculpting and wigmaking and sewing a wardrobe and making accessories all under the label of repaint. im laughing at giving a doll functional pants pockets tbh. whats he holding in there, a single crumb of bread? lmao ETA: i dont come to your channel for pep and vigor, thats more dollightfuls style. you, i love for the no-nonsense editing style and sharp tongue. focus on your strengths, akin, theyre more appealing than you might think.

your work is beautiful, but please make more clicky thumbnails. I would have never clicked on some of your videos and im saddened by this because your work is beautiful and deserves to be shown. Your personality is enjoyable and all the sound is well balanced, but i feel like you’re really pushing yourself back by having such plain thumbnails. Either way its your choice, im glad i found you either way. Apologies for the critique, but i do wish youd be seen more.
@hisnameisAkin3 ай бұрын
i totally agree, my thumbnails suck. i just really don't know how to make them attractive so they always turned out boring haha. you got any tips? glad you like my work though!
@morwe_3 ай бұрын
@@hisnameisAkin i dont have much knowledge on the field, but try out new things! Maybe a more detailed background in the thumbnail instead of just one color or some tilts to make it look more interesting. Or just, use tutorials! You wont get it right on your first try, but it will be improvement. Maybe also use the community poll function to choose between thumbnails if you’re stuck between some, ive seen success with that. You can do it!
@morwe_3 ай бұрын
@@hisnameisAkin also, your thicc big boy bear thumbnail is a really good one, flashy and more detailed background, something that people enjoy to look at front and center, and warping text to make it more eye catching. You can tell in the analytics as well! Its the difference between a square and a cube, you know? Edit: and the pun with CAPITAL LETTERS, making it easier to read, but it seems like you already know how to do that well. Still want to compliment it!
