Set Anti-aliasing to SMAA. There is currently a bug with visualising map tiles and other lines

Every patch there are more vital things getting broken than small things they fix (that i rarely ever notice anyway). TAA is the only AA method where the game doesn't look like a pixelated mess. Well, since latest patch, mods not load in to the game so.. it's unplayable anways..

I've come to accept the fact once I start a city that it's never going to be as perfect as I would like for it to be because I'm a perfectionist and nothing is perfect in this world.

I have this problem each time I play the game, I tend to find my city boring at each time, so create another one and another one until I get bored, so I quit the game for a period of time and then the cycle repeat itself, I think I have a psychological disorder 😂

You may also be able to get the original surfaces back via the ELT currently on PdxMods but I'm not sure. We're currently working on a bunch of things but if ELT doesn't have it at present then it will Soon™ Great use of the Grand Bridge! The disappearing tiles, wonky cursor, etc are as others have mentioned: TAA got torpedoed with the update so switch out to SMAA or whatever is appropriate (works best) for your PC.

You can use an oil specialised industry area to draw a beach. Imperatur has a short video of how to use this. I quite like your build. 😊

i think the issue you had with tiles displaying might be down to TAA anti-aliasing being on

Start the app with -developerMode on the command line and then press "Home" to access the panel.

You can actually just install the Find It mod in PDX mods now. This will do the same thing as what you were looking at without the need to run in dev mode.
