RE: 5:10, how things end up taking longer than we initially estimate. Have you thought about adopting the framework used by Montgomery Scott on Star Trek to calculate how long a task will take? This is partly a slightly sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek question (~25%), but it is also a mostly serious question (~75%). Summing the strategy if you're unaware - do your best to accurately estimate how long a task will take, then multiply that time by four. With a quadrupled estimate, you've budgeted extra time for when individual components end up taking longer than anticipated or unanticipated events and delays occur that unavoidably delay the schedule. Then, if you manage to complete the task before the quadrupled estimate you're considered a miracle worker (reference video sort of explaining it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmq2h5uda794hNk ). I'm glad the writing is going well. I had made a comment to this effect on one of your previous videos but it bears repeating - I've had a couple ideas for novels myself, but I haven't been able to put my knowledge/understanding/motivation to write more than a few pages at a time. I also usually end up giving up on the project after a few days because I'm not happy with what I wrote (what's on the paper doesn't do a good job capturing the story in my head). Getting as close as you are to finishing now is incredibly impressive to me - I salute your determination and ability to remain focused and motivated on the novel. Kudos to you - I'm looking forward to hearing more about it as it gets closer to being completely done! I'm particularly looking forward to reading the summary blurb that would go either on the back of the book or on the panel inside the front/back covers that's intended to provide a little bit of background to the story, but not enough to spoil anything.
