Enjoy the First Run. I do Apologise it was a very Windy day.

It looks great and seems to be a treat to drive around. It looks like it goes exactly where you tell it to and it still has enough power to spin those beefy tires! That looks like a perfect spot to drive it as well and it is nice and flat and smooth.

Yeah they just resurfaced these netball courts! It actually a great Car to drive, and totally agree it has a great balance out the box and goes exactly where you point it.

What a beautyful car! That body should have pretty good aerodynamics. Seems there are some tough RC guys in Down Under 😊

Nice video... I really enjoyed it... very calming and I love the way the sky looks in the background lol.. As for the Mercedes C11, it ran super smooth as if it was gliding over the basketball court. Looking forward to building mine but I probably won't get around to it until the Spring of 2023 lol...

Great job on the car and thanks for showing it to us! One suggestion, take a few small cones with you and lay out a track to show how the car handles different things like tight turns and long sweepers. The netball court looks great though! Wish I had parks like that around where I am…

I wish Tamya made LeMans Prototypes inspired shells available for the TT02 platform. Yes, I am aware there's aftermarket shells but they don't quite have the fit of a Tamiya shell on a TT02.

Yes you can’t beat a Tamiya shell for detail

@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Indeed. Wish they really got a LMP body for the TT02. I'm making do with a aftermarket body on the TT02 for now and I should have the C11 delivered next week as well. I love the look of LeMans prototypes.

Nice car. Thank you for showing it to us. It brought back some memories. In the '90 my dad and I almost bought the Graupner SG Club 90. A nitro powered car, with this Mercedes racecar as body. I always liked it very much. Maybe I should see if this (style) body can be used on a 190mm 1:10 chassis.

That run looked like a lot of fun. I have an original and the latest rere but haven’t touched either yet. I love the look of these cars. Tamiya should sell the Nissan cockpit as a hop up.

Thanks 😊 I was actually surprised at how nicely it ran. They are a nice simple build and look great. It’s definitely missing the cockpit to finish it off. Hopefully Tamiya release them soon 😊

What speed control and servo did you use?
@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Жыл бұрын
SPT low profile Servo, and a Hobbywing 1060 esc. I was only running it on a nimh battery also. So it would of been much quicker on a 2s Lipo

Is this a good 1/10 scale car to start with for general road running? Or, do you recommend something else?
@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA9 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend this for general running. If you are thinking Tamiya you could start with the TT01E or TT02 chassis and add some upgrades. Or the Kyosho Fazer might be a better option as it’s Ready to run and is better spec.

Nice one Adam! I sat on the fence with this one and missed out. The two things that put me off were - size of car and related storage space required and the lack of a suitable space to run it given it needs a smooth surface. Having seen your video I’m starting to regret it!
@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree, I was on the fence and wasn’t going to buy one. But one popped up on eBay for $200 AUD! So I jumped on it! Absolutely love the long body and it surprised me when I drove it! The big rear tyres definitely keep it planted and it steers exactly where you want it to go. Great balance out of the box.

great color alternative choice, brighter, nice place to run the car, sometimes a channel will run a low car on bumpy surface, and I cringe

Would this be able to handle a brushless system?

Yeah I can’t see why not. I’m not sure it would be the best handling RC with too much power.

Can you please do a tutorial on how to cut out the wheel arches properly?
@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Жыл бұрын
I use a hand held blade. Score the outline and Take it to the nearest edge. You then make a small cut at the scored edge and it should tear and follow the score you have created. If you search you will probably find many channels demonstrating
