I admire you so much! My ESL teachers viewed us as old dogs who could not learn a new trick. You are teaching these students to assimilate the culture. It took me years to understand what a GPA is because it does not exist in my country. I can tell how much respect you have for them!

Going to college should always be the goal. Her son went to college so hoping she can inspire all of her students to achieve the same

Not when college continues to become unaffordable for the vast majority of Americans. College is a business, so going needs to be viewed as a business decision for oneself; will the ROI be worth it?

How do you measure success, anyway? Money only? NO! Not just money. There’s financial, physical/health, as well as spiritual success. Seek ye first the kingdoms of God and His righteousness, and ALL the rest will be added unto you.

Good teacher, but you didn’t factor in the hours spent per week (number units) per class. Please come back after some homework on that. Gos bless you!
