Yes the Desi competitiveness and obsession with marrying a doctor and what type of car a guy drives is super cringe. I’m always hearing friends discuss other women in the community and their weird obsession with being light skinned because it would give them the mobility to marry rich.

I am going to ask God to set me free from my shopping addiction. As a christian i believe that value doesn’t come from your status, money etc. But from you being a good and faithful person to God and people around you. Thank you for this video🙏 God bless you amen💕

LISTEN. In era when my channel was getting me invited to fancy youtube things, and vidcon and stuff like that I got so swept up in the glamour of it all, and the free stuff, and the luxury in these small doses right? I was like, wow, i really could get used to this. And then one vidcon I was doing one of the last panels on the last day and when I was leaving I saw all the people that had spent thousands on these elaborate displays and photo areas and ~brand activations~ just tearing down their displays and THROWING IT AWAY. never have i pivoted so fast on the luxury/consumer lifestyle. Sure, I still sometimes get swayed to buy stuff I don't need, but more often then not it all makes me feel a little ill now. i'm so glad you spoke about this.

I almost never comment on yt vids and I consume a lot of minimalism/mindfulness content (the oxymoron ik) but I genuinely think your delivery and insight is really great. Just had to say it. Also you touch on a lot of things I personally struggle with too. Can’t wait for more of your vid 🙆♀️

Hello Tazzy, I stumbled upon your channel some years ago already, and I since then always really enjoyed your content and especially these "sharing deep thoughts" sessions :) I am from the other side of the Atlantic, from another culture, religion, etc., but I always found myself or totally sharing your experiences or so happy to learn about your culture. And very often, even if you are talking about topics rather unknown to me (like for example over marriage, I'm not married, not planning on getting married, but...) i still find so many interesting thoughts that can apply to my life and experience. Anyway, in short, thank you Tazzy 🌼 ((sorry, my English isn't the smoothest!))

I Agree with what you are saying. I genuinly find that Materialism in of itself is bad & as a Society there is so much promotion of Material Consumption-- often of super cheap made materials processed oversees. On top of that I find that the most unhappy people are the ones that over shop, as looking to fill a void. Even the Buddha had a big problem with this as he grew up with all the Riches and he didn't find happiness, then he did 180 and lived in poverty and he did not find happiness there either. Ultimately we need to live in comfort and not go on either extreme and seek inner peace and if there is one area to grow and consume- it is in the intangibles of our mind and soul. I worked in a bank for Manu Years and saw wealthy people- they just the same as everyone else. At some point everything becomes stagnant and what made you happy yesterday will soon no longer so it is onto the next thing in a long cycle.

Thank you for your insightful sharing on such an important topic! There are so many issues in social media/media that Muslims have to grapple with or reconcile in this day and age. If you're interested, was wondering if you could also share your thoughts on Muslim representation in media, especially with the new series Ms Marvel? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts as a Pakistani Muslim :)

she talked about seeing the value of investing in life long education right before that ad, personally I don't see any problem with making a few bucks from tried and tested products that are actually useful and value driven. it's the insincerity of some that are primarily salespeople before they are content creators which irks me. Tazzy is someone who approaches serious topics with tact and discretion which likely takes time and planning and this may be sustainable way to keep making videos without affecting her income too much.
