My whole life has been dedicated to America serving in the U.S. Army. I’ll have 23 years in by the time I retire. I started fishing in Alaska and fell in love with it. When I moved to North Carolina I started bass fishing and for an entire year didn’t catch a single fish. When I finally hooked my first bass it was a three pounder and I was praying to the lord thanking him for everything he has given me. Your videos are a constant reminder of why I love this sport. After some more practice I may have to try my hand in qualifying for the elites. God willing.

I hate to comment this because I love Scott, but I often wonder if companies give pros different blanks because when I bought the Lunkers TV edition Favorite Rod I couldn’t tell if I had a wet sock or a fish on the end let alone the type of fish. But when I have my Dobyns, Loomis, Croix and most of my Shimano rods I can tell. I want to try their new stuff to see if it improves over time.

Hey Scott, I have watched your videos way back when you were giving tutorials on how to punch lily pads and making weedles jigs with off set hooks, Beaver Tail plastic lure, and how you had pre-rigged rods for quick change overs. I learned to Bass fish from you. I rigged my kayak with a 5 pole holder behind my seat and a retractable anchor rig, using a spring loaded cloths line pulley, with a block at the stern and bow. So I could anchor from the stern or bow and I can anchor midshipmen and position the Yak any direction to cast toward the pads or edge of the pads no matter what direction the wind was blowing. Rigging the Yak came from other videos, but I learned how to fish from you first. Then I learned easy senior citizen tricks from your dad. Face it, us older folks figure out how to do the same stuff, using less energy. My point I have been watching you for a very long time, and the quality of your video editing and graphics have moved from good to top self. No one does it better, some get close, but no cigar. God bless you, your family, Jimmy Houston & Chris. There is no better, and I keep praying for Chris all the time. Have you seen Jimmy's Deer farm lately? Luv the white Deer. What I am saying is your 2 families have changed a 71 year old man's life to the point that the only time I feel old is when I look in the mirror.
