The drone really shows off how strong the current is. I'm glad you were willing to walk up to camp and talk to somebody about a site. Never know what kind of good will come to you that way. I really enjoy the glimpses of the little towns. Going through places like that is one of my favorite parts of traveling.

The drone footage sure shows the strong currents in the Snake River. I bet it would be a hard river to swim in. Simple meal looks good. Thanks for taking me along. Beautiful scenery. Stay safe and happy adventures. Joyce

Joyce Barnett I've never seen anyone swim in the river and I've been coming here for decades as my grandparents lived here since 60s. Too dangerous current and under water lava tubes.

For all you music buffs, the area that that Brian drove threw, McCammon and Hot Springs, Idaho was featured in the first music video I help produce, the song and video is SMALL TOWN by John Mellencamp, we also did a music video in a town that's been showcased a lot the last two weeks on RV And boating channels, the video was shot entirely at St. Augustine, Florida, the song is ARE YOU GOING TO KISS OR NOT by Thompson Square.

Awesome drone footage and loved seeing the snake river. When I lived in Pasco, WA I had the chance of being able to swim in the snake river and it was fun. Love it when you go through small towns as one never knows what you will be able to see. Glad that you are being health wise. Take care, be safe and have a great day. Thanks!

I just camped thru Idaho and there is SO much free or cheap camping. there are numerous places with signage 'sportsman's access' that allow 10 free days. most were totally empty (and some submereged!). lots around Bruneau that are right on the water. if you jump up a highway toward picabo, there are some great places as well.

Lava Hot Springs is mostly a tourist town but it is a lot of fun to rent inner tubs and float down the Portneuf River that runs through town. There are also a few small areas along the river where some of the hot springs empty in to the river that is a good place to relax where the hot water blends with the cold water in the river. Also about 10 miles up out of Lava is Pebble Creek Canyon where there is some good camping spots more like you usually find.

Brian, You missed the actual original hot springs. That was the big main pool off of the Hwy. About two more blocks down the road from where you made the u-turn are the original hot springs. It is quaint and low key because all of the kids and large families are at the pool blocks away. If you are back through, you really should check it out. How far behind are your videos?

I did a taste test after I got home here, and I like it, and I'm sure it will go good with several kinds of dishes. May you have many blessings, with much peace. ✌ .

Looks like a nice spot. If the heat is anything like Boise, it's not too bad. I was up in Boise a few years ago for 4th of July and several locals talked about how hot it was when it was in the lower 90s. Being from the Texas Gulf coast where it's in the upper 90s and humid it felt comfortable to me. Plus it gets comfortable at night unlike here in Texas, where it still can be in the 80s and very humid on summer nights.

Yay, the PNW is finally having summer. Dry weather and warm days. I prefer more natural hot springs, there is a good one about an hour from Eugene near Cougar Reservoir www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/willamette/recarea/?recid=4391 its got a short hike in, natural cascading pools, usually pretty nice. They clean them on Thurs, so best time is thurs after 12noon, for clean pools. I believe it's still $6 entry fee. We also know of some free camp spots not far down the road from the hot spring. Fishing camps, along the river, small pit toilet no drinking water. I am definitely wanting to go camp out there again before we leave for TX in Sept.

You seemed a little less "enthused" in this video. (Not in a bad way, I love every video no matter what and I I actually really enjoyed the realism of this video)... it made me think: What's it like to get sick on the road? You should tell one of your worst sick stories. It's gotta be 100x harder to get a flu or something when you're in a van, and trying to keep moving along. Also, heartbreak or depression must be a little difficult. It makes me think that if someone in your shoes hit an emotional wall, this life style would be very difficult. Anyway, just thoughts! I'm on to watch the next one!
