Used to go to these in the 90's, but stopped when vinyl became the majority of what was being sold there. Before that, I was picking up CDs and CD box sets for cheap.

Hello Ed! Yeah I’ve found better places that sell the kind of albums I like and so more has been readily available therefor I’m capitalizing on it buying more vinyl.

Had a similar experience last month, great fun but mostly vinyl. Not sure if I'll go to another, since I find more in record stores. But finding these CDs, and others, for very cheap/almost free was great: Dare - Belief, Girlschool - Take A Bit, Heart - Jupiters Darling, Iced Earth - The Dark Saga, Marillion - Misplaced Childhood (the 2 disc reissue), Steelheart - Tangled In Reins, and Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry. So, I'll probably end up going there's another close enough.

That Bob Marley, Catch a Fire with the lighter cover is a collectors item. So great Anthony found that. There are songs with Peter Tosh on lead vocal. I will be going to a record show September 24. I will be looking for Bob Marley Exodus and Uprising. My favorite songs are on these two records.

Mitch Ryder and Detroit did a rocking cover of the Velvet Underground's "Rock & Roll." Steve Hunter on guitar.

That album was reissued to CD in the late 90s (via Akarma Records) but it's rare and hard to find.

Since you've been hangin' with Anthony, you definitely seem to be picking up more vinyl. All good -- I know some albums are readily available on vinyl, but tuff to find on CD. Looked like a cool event. Nice to see so many folks checking it out.

@@jimmycampbell78 I suppose -- and with 11K+ CDs in his collection, Brendon has picked up more than his share of music on the superior format. Ha!

Demon are one of those bands I was aware of back in the day, but never invested in. I do have The Plague and Breakout, but need to spend some time with those. Live they were very theatrical, and included some Prog influences. I enjoy your record store trips, nothing better than going on a hunt. From the UK I was surprised how many people were wearing masks at this fair. Last weekend I travelled down South on holiday. Went to some new record shops, and by chance there was a small fair in the town we were staying. Not a mask to be seen there!

Man. I should never go to a record show if the chance is that crazy high to catch the c-virus and I need to wear a mask. But hey the local diner is extremely safe. Ah the precuriarities of the East Coast. But hey that virus infested vinyl show had killer selection to choose from.

I've been to this monthly show a few times... and I ALWAYS walk out with at least a couple of CDs and/or LPs... and one time, even a couple of great music books. A few of the vendors pack their LPs in too tight, but most are good and very well organized. There is a small admission fee for this show: $6 per person... or $3 if you have an email coupon from them.

Doesn’t make sense to me but there are collectors that know the intricacies of why one album is more valuable than another and will pay for it.
