Actually, as of the Be'lakor supplement, it was hinted that Be'lakor is the only Undivided Daemon Prince in existence since the Chaos Gods saw his creation as a mistake and raised singular daemons because Undivided Princes like Be'lakor are nearly uncontrollable. He's the most powerful of any Chaos character short of the Primarch deamon princes and the Gods themselves. Yet he always loses his crusades, since winning them would destroy most of the setting.

Yeah, you... can't really have someone like Abaddon fail, and still expect anyone to take him seriously. He's basically Sideshow Bob at this point - not even his nemesis treats him like he's a legit threat anymore. It get's especially bad when you compare him to, say... Angron. The first war for Armageddon ended when the Grey Knight dumped what was an entire chapters worth of Terminators on the guy, and even then all (?) of them died banishing him back to the Warp. The Inquisition had to execute the entire planet afterwards just to hush up the amount of damage Big Red had done. By contrast, we're told that Abaddon is the greatest Champion of the Dark Gods... but we're given no in-story justification for it. Heck, the way he's presented, it makes him come across as Poochie (again, from the Simpsons) - someone that everyone tries to talk up, yet never lives up the the way he's described.

Yeah, wasn't sure if they all died, but like you said; almost a 100 dead Grey Knights Terminators. That's how you make a guy come across as a real threat - the only other instance of this happening I can think of is the Tyranid assault on the Ultramarines homeworld, where the 1st Company got wiped out. Abaddon would be much easier to take seriously if GW didn't insist that he's led so many attempts to assault the Imperium, only for all of them to end in failure. I think it would have been better if they retconned Abaddon as having only led two or three of the Black Crusades, with the others being led by Daemon Primarch's or other exceptionally dangerous Chaos Lords. That way, even if the Gothic War failed, it'd be the only time he's failed prior to Cadia (and you can even argue that the goal was to get the Blackstone Fortresses, with any damage just being a bonus), instead of the 12th time he's screwed up and still managed to retain the Gods' favor.

Even when Abaddon succeeds, people call him a failure. Even if all of his background for the Black Crusades is retconned, people still succeed to view him according to his previous version of the fluff.

According to the new fluff, he pretty much destroyed all of the pylons, which gradually increased the number of warp invasions in the materium during the last 10k years (which means that all people that died during these events died inderectly because of Abaddon), which will eventually lead to a warp storm manifesting on Terra. Terra might even become a Daemon World because of this. Seems rather impressive compared to Horus who had half of the legions and primarchs on his side.

Plus, Abaddon didn't called Horus weak in regard to his accomplishments or his personnal strenght. He called him weak because in the end, he died, which is pretty much the definition of failure for any Chaos worshipper. We can say what we want about Abby, but 10k (less than that for the time in the warp) years after the Heresy, he's still alive and pursuing his plans. On another note, it was necessary to call him weak. The Legion was constantly mourning him and wasn't advancing anymore. By calling him and rejecting his name, Abaddon forced the Legion to advance and stop living in the past.

He can't just sail past Cadia. He needs it, it's right in the center of the only stable gateway in and out of the Eye of Terror. Cadia blowing up is a huge set-back for Abaddon, especially considering that Chaos controlled the ground (dead) and the Imperium controlled space (alive). This is a minor tactical victory for the Imperium but also a minor strategic victory for Chaos (since the fortress is gone).

I thought they said at 1 point that the warp has pretty much "random time to move" attached to it especially at distance, where it could take minutes, weeks, or up to a 100 years plus if seriously unlucky? Thats honestly the biggest issue with the fall of Cadia, it should have been this massive event, but it wasn't. There should have been books, games, hold tournaments with Chaos vs the Imperium table top games. Go all out, but there was nothing but "well Failbadon won and Cadia is gone.... anyway"

In the book, it says that Battlefleets Scarus and one other Battlefleet came in to reinforce the Cadia. Also, Celestine guided the Phalanx through the warp which kind of raises even more questions but at least there's an explanation for why it got there first. I do think it was Trazyn that fixed the shield array, when he appears to show Cawl how to use the pylons, he does mention that people keep calling him abominations and shooting him, probably the other Tech-priest.

By all accounts they are not throwing an end times at us. But this is apparently the start of a big world wide event thing thats gonna do more to advance the plot. Rumors include the return of Rowboat Gurlyman whilst it seems the Space Corgi's went to go and finally find Russ. Basically GW can't torpedo their biggest franchise like they did with AoS, this I think will advance the plot, but not much, its still gonna be a case of "Everyone in the 40k universe is gonna die...soon...well..sometime before the heat death of the universe. Maybe." They are not gonna go and slap the big bad reset button.

Trazyn helping makes sense, for 2 reasons. First, he seeks to record history as it happens, and the 13th black crusade, the most threatening to Cadia with all the wrecked pylons, is something worth recording indeed as a galaxy-affecting event. Second... Necrons as a whole are opposed to chaos, and I bet trazyn is still sour about the chaos bell wrecking his museum... that makes it a reason for him to show up, and a reason for him to pick the imperial side :p also according to BFG armada 2, trazyn is the one that fixed the pylons, not eldars. he just revealed he was around later only. In fact BFG armada 2 did a good job of making sense of some things (Cawl only knew how to use pylons to shrink the eye because trazyn told him to, the blackstone fortress was sent crashing by pushing it with several smaller ships, not through its own power..)

Allow me to explain although in condensed form, a very condensed form. The End Times is literally what it means, the end of the world (in case of Warhammer Fantasy), and the *possible* end of the Galaxy in 40k. Fans hate it, because it's just GW killing a perfectly good setting in order to make more money, basically invalidating that nice little army by making you have to buy a plain new one, plus all the lore insanities that come from the deranged mind of Matt Ward (the guy who wrote that shit).

One thing that confuses me more than anything about 40k fans is how pissy they always seem to get whenever anything that even resembles a "team up against the greater evil" scenario occurs. Seriously it's getting fucking ridiculous. We get it. The Blood Angels fighting Tyranids alongside the Necrons that one time was silly but the dark and craftworld Eldar have been known to collaborate on multiple occasions despite their differing ideals as have the Eldar and the Imperium (thank you Xeno Hybris). Of course it's all very tenuous and uneasy and somebody normally ends up getting stabbed in the back at some point but it happens. It's really not that unrealistic and if people continue to insist on making a big deal over it it's going to make this whole gathering storm thing a lot more agonizing than it needs to be.

Well I practically bended Chaos over a chair and shoved the second legion and a hyper technology advanced human civilisation that exists in a small satellite galaxy, the Sagittarius dwarf spheroidal galaxy for size comparison and proximity to the galaxy, that where separated from the times of the Heresy by a warp anomaly that prevents warp travel into and out of the region, believing the Heresy would eventually reach them since the second legion primarch was found there thy started a rapid technological advancement with the purpose of giving the traitors a hell of a mauling if thy decided to stop buy and say hi, with standard issue guns that can kill a space marine in one shot and shove them straight up its ass. I don't want to share it because is badly written, its my bad English and a lot of bending the lore to my own idea of what I want out of the setting, the second legion give the Ultramarines a run for there money, but at least I established the technology and how its operated.

Abaddon was going after the Pylon because it was connected to a tunnel system that was part of the Cadia command center. Abaddon teleported into the command center to try and destroy the chian of command., and fought his way through the tunnels trying to get to the pylon.

#Arch Warhammer Revealing the history of the lost Primarchs does not ruin the ability to create your own unique or wild chapter of your own. I personally love knowledge and the pursuit of it. I love attaining it. In all it's forms. It's truly bothersome that anyone would and willing embraces ignorance and the desire to remain willfully ignorant in order to continue whatever delusions he or she has made up in their head. It's too much of that in the world already. But in a ficitional world where you can actually create the lore however you please and provide that knowledge to everyone, but just don't because you purposely just want to make people wonder; is a bit sadistic and becomes boring after awhile. I enjoy GW progressing the story. This permanent stagnation that some people want, with nothing they remember ever changing is like an old man being resistant to change. How long is Gilligan going to be stuck on the island? How long will the crew be lost in space? How long will the walking dead walk, why are the walking dead walking? There is a reason why stagnant stories like this lose their favor over time. Allow the lost Primarchs story to be told, tell us the story of Celestine, who is the Sanguinor, where did the legion of the damned come from, lift the Emperor out of his throne (kill him or bring him back). Progression and knowledge is good. Don't get me wrong I like mysteries, riddles, and puzzles? But I get more satisfaction out of having them solved. A mystery is good, but not just to have a mystery that doesn't lead or go anywhere. In the long run that type of writing just seems lazy because it reveals you never had a real plan to begin with. I think that's why so many people looking loved the most recent syndication of Battlestar Galactica. It was thought out from beginning to end, with it's ambiguity being told eventually. Mystery for the sake of ambiguity is why so many people are disliking current movies like star wars and alien covenant, because they make things unknown just but not to just have a mystery that doesn't lead or go anywhere. In the long run that type of writing just seems lazy because it reveals you never had a real plan to begin with.
