This was so, so good and needed. There’s so few of us who work full time and homeschool. ❤ I love your tips.

I love that your tips and tricks are that you work your butt off and teach your kids responsibility. People are always making excuses of why they can’t do things, but it really just comes down to the fact that they don’t want to put in the work or make the sacrifices that are necessary. Thanks for sharing this realistic video, it’s much appreciated!!

I work full time remote from home while homeschooling. It can be difficult to juggle but so worth it.

I’m so glad I stumbled across your video. I also started working from home during Covid and we chose to homeschool our daughter. The job I had working from home was pretty flexible but then I got laid off. I started a new job a couple of months ago, where it requires me to be on the phone most of the day. I’ve been struggling with the homeschooling this year, but your video made me realize that I don’t have to abide by the Monday through Friday rule and I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before. I want to thank you for helping me to see it in a new perspective. Just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to more of your videos.

I appreciate you sharing your experience as a working homeschool mom. ❤️ We are about to begin our homeschooling journey next week with our first grader. I’ll be honest, as a full time working mom myself I am nervous and excited at the same time 😅 My husband and I plan on sharing the homeschooling duties and then he will attend a coop once a week. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Love this video! I am a full time working mom as a nurse in the ICU and have chosen to homeschool my three kids. So many people are mind blown when I say we homeschool but we make it work!

Hearing from other working homeschool moms is so refreshing! I'm trying to leave a not-so-great job but we need to income. I've been struggling to find the balance and this helps me realize that it can totally be done differently than I am doing now!

I just stumbled across your channel and as full-time working homeschool mom myself that has a regular corporate job, I identified with your video so much. It was spot on! Thank you for sharing this realisitic video. There are so few examples of how us moms who work full time and homeschool manage it. I get why, since time is such a premium for us. The time you are taking to share your experience is appreciated and so valuable to this niche subset of homeschoolers.

Thanks for this video! Love all these tips! I too am working full time remote, salaried and homeschooling. Last homeschool year we schooled 5 days a week. It was tough but we made it through and I learned a lot. we were schooling 5 days a week but this next year I am hoping to just do a 4 day work week. I think a couple things you mentioned were spot on-the kids need to learn to be more independent. Also- so important not to put yourself last. So many times there were days I wouldn’t even get to shower and I would just feel so horrible about myself. Time management is so important- i have realized going to bed early so I can wake up early has been so important. Also- meal prepping/planning has helped so much! This year I want to be able to add more enrichment. I would love to be able to take my kids on some sort of outing/field trip once a month. Thankfully my mother is retired and is such a great support system and can also take my boys to do something fun. Co ops can be so hard. So many around me are either a specific type (classical conversations ect) or they require the parent to teach a class. It’s just not very doable for me unfortunately.

That going to bed early is critical. I still struggle with that but when I get up before everyone those are my best days.

I’m heading back to work and have been homeschooling for 10 years. I’d love to see your DITL. I have a 13 and a 15year old they’re fairly independent but I still want to stay involved and teach ❤

I do the same with chores with kids. That weekend point is so true. Everything we do takes time from something else. It’s just choices.

I own 3 businesses and work remotely while homeschooling an only child. It has its own challenges, just like anyone has challenges, but you make it work because it’s worth it!

I homeschool all 4 of my kids and have a membership for women and I have a revenue design studio. Plus my youngest is disabled and unable to walk or talk. It is a struggle at times. I plan loosely and compartmentalize my days. While I love homeschooling it gets really hard when client work gets busy . I dedicated an entire year to focus on independent learning for my older kids. It has been critical for me. I don’t teach every day. I do 2 -3 days a week. And they work independently the rest of the time. 4 years in we still are finding our flow. But getting better.

I will be hopefully working remotely while homeschooling three from 12-16. I had to switch to an online program because my hours are 9am to 5:30 pm. I am off Fridays and Saturdays so at least I will have Fridays to go over the weeks lessons. It is difficult to juggle. I had tried to work the overnight at the hospital for 2 years and that was far more challenging and will never do it again. The job I may be offered will not be flexible when I work, no breaks except for lunch. In these times, you have to do what you have to do. Moms usually (especially homeschool moms) have it the hardest because you work full time, and then have to focus on the home, the homeschool lessons etc.

I work full-time remote, but pretty flexibly. I often split my days to work a little during the day and then after my kids to go to bed. They also go to a hybrid co-op 3x per week, which helps a LOT. It's definitely a struggle somedays and I do sacrifice my own personal time and peace quite often. I'm seeing the fruits of the labor though since my kids are doing to well and thriving with our routines.

I am similar work FT from home 4/5 days a week. One day in office. I’m looking at starting my day early like you do. My question is what time do you go to bed what time do you wake up and what’s the evening routine so you can get to bed at a decent time?
@gatheredandgroundedhomeschool2 ай бұрын
I go up to bed at 9, do all the goodnight stuff with the kids and im probably in bed asleep by 10. wake up right around 5am. I am normally done eating dinner and kitchen cleaned up by 5ish 5-7 I just do whatever I need to, shower….read….clean something….do nothing I have no phone after 7ish, so no social media scrolling. Hubby and I are normally catching up from the day, watching shows so it’s definitely a wind down time til bed.
