How do you keep coming up with all of this great stuff? I really enjoy watching your videos because the way you present it keeps it interesting as you teach. I just can't pay attention to the Official Toon Boom seminars because the speakers just seem to drone on without really explaining much at all.

How is the IK system a legacy feature?! That seems so daft, like that seems like a really cool, interesting feature!

I’ve learned about 3D animation, but I still haven’t learned about 2D Puppet-Rigged animation. I hope I can animate a 2D character like I could a 3D character, where the foot is planted on the ground when I move the rest of the character for a walk cycle and stuff.

Does this work (and how) for a horse/mule rig? I have mules in the episode of a series I’m working on and am working on a shot where a mule tiptoes forward into a dark tunnel. I also think I rigged it wrong. I alway rig with the “hips” as the master centre but it seems that maybe a “horse” rig should have the chest as centre? Or should I build a “switch” for when I want the body’s deformer to be anchored in front and then back? Trying to simplify my rigs because these mules will be in the entire episode and there will be 8 of them. Any assistance would be awesome!

That’s a big question! Hit me up in the DMs on twitter or email to we can discuss it a bit more closely

If IK is legacy feature, how to do this with current tools?

It’s more that the idea of IK is a lot cooler in demonstration than in practice. Most 2D animators have found they’d rather animate Forward Kinematics because you get a lot more control. Even if it is a little slower
