It's so funny when I hear people say they don't like the actual baking part. I'm just the opposite. I LOVE the baking part! In fact, I posted in a local baking group to see if any decorators in my area would like to partner up and I would bake their layers, so they could just decorate and all I got were....crickets. I really thought it was a great idea, but I guess not.

I know! I think part of it for me is that baking takes time and patience and I like to go really fast through things. It’s very counter to my natural mind. If it was a baking group people probably have their own things going on and don’t want to work for anyone else maybe, but idk lol. I meet more bakers that prefer decorating than baking so it could be we attract what we are lol 🤷🏽♀️

There is a baker that does this in my area and she has a lot of success with it. She sells her layers frozen in a local cake supply store. So there is definitely a market for it.

I’m a home baker still fresh in the game and I’m still learning thanks to your buttercream recipe and a cake recipe I got for free I’m starting to grow and gain clients and yes I totally agree with you on protecting your recipes for the people who have purchased them one because I would definitely be mad if I bought a recipe for it to end up being free at some point and I don’t like wasting money and I’m sure nobody else does. You have been such a big inspiration for me to start my journey and I want to thank you for everything you’ve done and I wish you all the best love and please keep being raw and honest because nowadays sometimes it’s hard to tell when people are being honest especially with AI being involved thank you thank you god bless! ❤

I learned how to make recipes by reading books. I read Mark Bittman's (How to Cook Everything, How to Bake Everything) and Rose Levy Beranbaum’s (The Cake Bible) books to understand how each ingredient works in a recipe. I also watched videos on leaveners to see how they worked. Turns out people use too many whole eggs in their recipes. Less egg whites = moist cakes.
