Let's Make a Slushy out of Orange Crush & Root Beer Soda! Today we are trying out the Vevor Slush Machine & Icee Maker! We are using 2 liter bottles of soda to see if it can slush! A slushy is also known as a slush, slushie, Icee, or Slush Puppie. It is a frozen beverage that is cool treat on a hot day! It has a semi-frozen, slushy consistency that is slightly crunchy and icy, but still soft enough to drink through a straw.

Just a heads up that I realized after the fact that I didn't secure the tanks properly. Those plastic things that get in the way of tank removal and installation are there for a reason. Next batch didn't make as much noise.😂

When I saw your video I thought that the cylinder would freeze completely since it usually requires a lot of sugar to be able to make a slushy drink. Then the soft drinks would not freeze. thanks for the video.

I will be using mine at small events… it will only be used during Thursday - Saturday … does this mean I’ll have to preform a cleaning at the end of the day on Saturday & have it prepared to use the following Thursday… Even if I’ll be using 2 liter Coke all the time

I think the answer lies with your county's health department regulations. I know when we did chili contests, we had to provide three sinks (washing, rinsing, sanitizing). For one of these, if you are feeding the public and you want to keep people from getting sick, I'd think you would want to clean it after each use. Possibly need to sanitize and let it dry good so it doesn't mold on you. I don't know how fast bacteria on a room temperature sticky sugar/acid concoction grows. But I personally wouldn't want to find out.

Yeah, they all are pretty much the same in terms of noise. There is a compressor running as well as that tube in the middle freezing and scraping. It is a pretty fun gadget tho!

The brix level of soda is low for proper slushy. It’s freezing inconsistently and why they sell concentrate. Brix level needs to be 13-15%
