Ah, gotcha. I think this is your model: s.vevor.com/bfQ9SS. While my X-300 model uses a temperature setting of -7.1°C for slushies, your machine’s 1-15 scale can still work perfectly for our recipes. Since you’ve had success with Hawaiian Punch and Sunkist Soda but are struggling with other recipes, I’d suggest getting a sugar refractometer so you can dial in on that sweet spot without guessing (here's one I recommend: amzn.to/4d21Sl7. A mix ratio of about 1 part syrup to 4 parts water often works well, and make sure the sugar content is at least 13% for the best consistency (the refractometer will help here). Aim for a thick, icy consistency without being too hard or too liquid. It might take a few tries, but you’ll find the sweet spot. Finding the perfect setting can involve a bit of experimentation, but that’s part of the fun! You’re already on the right track with your successes so far. For a more specific answer, to correlate the -7.1°C setting (my typical slushy setting) of my Vevor X-300 (s.vevor.com/bfQdWs) with the 1-15 scale of your 3L Vevor machine: Assuming the 1-15 scale represents the range from the highest to the lowest possible temperature, and knowing that my -7.1°C setting is a fairly low temperature for slushies, here's a potential correlation: the correlating setting on your 3L Vevor machine should be around 10-12. That's awesome, Jarrell! Welcome to the Slushy Family! Use the - and + buttons to regulate the temp. Push the "Settings" button which toggles you thorough the CL1, CL2, SL1 and SL2 options. Cl = Cold Drink & SL = Slushy. Push it once and it takes you to CL1. Then push the - and + buttons to move the temp up and down. I recommend setting Cold Drink to 3.0 and Slushy to -7.1. I followed the same instructions and my machine did not freeze. I did add 2L of alcohol to it so not sure if that’s the reason why it did not freeze!

@@MultiCasking mine does not allow me to set the temp it has a slush cold drink or Margarita mode . I believe the Slush mode allows it to get to like -1 degree fahrenheit or so. The liquid got cold and got some ice but not full slush like yours

Hey there, Anthony. Mine says that too. Most slushy machines are calibrated to freeze non-alcoholic drinks. The main reason they say "no alcoholic drinks" is because alcohol lowers the freezing point of liquids. This makes it hard for the machine to freeze the mix properly. Adding alcohol can result in the slush being too runny or not freezing right. That is why having the sugar content at that magic 13% is so important. That's how I get my slushies to always have that perfect snowball effect. Hope that helps!

A trick to knowing the sweet spot is to put water in the tank (so you can see when it develops ice) and play around with the settings. BUT be careful. That clanking noise you'll soon here is the ice preventing the auger from turning correctly. That is the banging sound a lot of folks comment and ask about. I'm releasing that video this week.

Hello, just bought my first vevor to rent model x-300 I was able to get it slush at home and so but I have a question just in case maybe you have the answer what's the best recommendation to start/leave the temperature of the machine for an event since I wont be through out the event to control temperatures. Ah, great question, Daubeny. First, congratulations on your new Vevor X-300, and thanks for watching my videos! I'm glad they've been helpful. The answer depends on where the machine will be located. If this is an indoor event and the room's temperature is between 70-80°F, and the sugar content is at least 13.0%, then the machine should work just fine at a setting of -5.5 to -6.0. If this is an outdoor event, the temperatures will likely be higher and fluctuate. I would recommend setting the machine to -7.2. I hope this gives you some direction! Happy slushing!

Hey I love your slushy videos! So much so that i decided to buy one myself. It arrives this weekend. I have a question though, how long can you leave a slushy in the machine if you use night mode? Is it safe for 24 hours? If i drain to clean into a container, how long would that last in a fridge so its not wasted? Thanks! =D

Hey there, Ice! First, welcome to the Slushy Family! You are about to have so much fun with it. I hope you are ready to smile...all the time lol! My Vevor machine doesn't have a "Night Mode". Mine has a "Cold Drink" mode though. So, once I know we are done with having slushies for the day, I turn it to "Cold Drink" and I have it set at 3.0. Once I want a Slushy again, I hit the "Slushy" button and it is ready to go in 10 - 15 mins. Also, I set my Slushy Mode at -7.1 to start with and I bring the temp up as needed. The longest I've kept a slushy mix was about 2 weeks. The alcohol acts as a preservative so it does help to keep it fresh for a long time. I hope this helps! Congrats again! - Charlie

Hey, Bre! Welcome to the Vevor Slushy Family! Finding that sweet spot is part of the learning curve. I've found that cranking it down to a superlow temp allows it to slush properly as long as I keep a decent eye on it. In the beginning, I had several mixes that I didn't pay attention to and they got too cold and messed with the consistency.

How’s that not flooding out 😂 when I tried 2.5 gallons of water , it would flood out for me & how do you keep the top even ? My would have a slant when i slush mine with 2 & quarter gallon of water

Wow! That would not be awesome, Joran. Mine self levels 99% of the time. I have found that if I force it to be too cold, it will slant a bit and force the most frozen portions to the top. I simply take the top off. use a wooden spoon and mix it up a tad. That has always solved that issue. PLUS I don't let it slusy all night. When we go to bed, I switch back to Cold Drink and return it to Slushy when we are ready for one. You might try that if you haven't done so yet. Cheers.

Ah, yes it does, Gladys. It's not terrible when the compressor isn't going. It is louder in the videos than it actually is though. The mic is pointed at it so it catches a lot of the noise. Cheers to ya.
