Beautiful work, Sage! I love how crafty you are. My grandmother used to be a seamstress and made wedding dresses for a living. I learned to sew while in theatre school and now I love to embroider and cross-stitch for fun. I'm so impressed with all of your projects, they inspire me to try more! :)

I recently moved into my parent's home a year ago; it was my granny's home originally. The main house was built in the late 40s. Then, after my granny had more children and a storm damaged the roof, my grandfather built the upstairs. The addition was built in the 70s and has not been updated; I love it. I grew up in this house and spent a lot of time with my granny; she taught me to sew around 4. She was a fantastic seamstress and quilter, making me many quilts and clothes. I am now remodeling my room into the 1940s/1950s style. My bathroom is staying in its 1970s original style with some new additions, and my sewing room, which was my granny's, is being updated with a 1970s or 60s look. I want the upstairs to look like you are stepping into the past. I'm thinking about filming it all and posting it, I just have anxiety and don't know if anyone would even care to see it. Your videos are a big help with inspiration and tutorials. KZbin, in general, is a huge help.

Great video as I am making some lamp shades for my vintage Coleman lamps. We are so used to perfection but I prefer hand made, repurposed and a little rustic wear and tear that adds to the charm. I love the 1910-1940s and have a full den and kitchen setup. Would love to see more thrifting and repurposing videos as well! I also love to cook and collect old cookbooks and do some sewing on an electric and a 1911 hand crank Singer. Keep up the great videos and best of luck in Nursing! I am a first responder and it’s stressful but very rewarding work.

Greetings from the U. S.A. ...I had to smile and chuckle to myself about " the Green " ... 🙂😊.... I do like the colour green, I noticed for the past 12 years, I've used it more and more ....lol. I even purchased a drop down secretary desk , off Marketplace, and it's a sort of shade of " not bright " apple Green shade , with gold painted trim. I have no intention of changing the color, lol, because I actually have throw pillows in almost the same shade. I enjoy your showing us your projects, and no one is really concerned about the ' consistency ", Miss Sage ! I love seeing that you posted something, whenever you have time to do so. By the way, your hair looks fabulous the way it's styled here. A lot of women, in the 1950's actually wore stylish trousers and a lovely top or sweater ,and a stylish loafer shoe, or something similar. So whatever you're wearing ' on the daily " still offers you that " look ". :) ( if you take a look at Fashions of Grace Kelly when she wore trousers , as well as stylish women of that time, you'll see how fashionable and put together they were even though they were wearing trousers.) Stay Blessed, you and James and looking forward to the next Video ,whenever that may be ! 🙂😊🙏🏻☕️

Hi ladies. Another nurse here - well - retired nurse. I worked full time for 38 years - and finally I was just too worn out to go on. I worked in ICU in a big city hospital, so it was always something interesting coming thru the door. I have to agree - even though I was a hippie at the time - the "fashions" of the 70's were just awful. It seems all I ever wore were bib overalls with a tube top under it in the summer and a flannel shirt in the winter.

It is so nice to see you are decorating your house with colors. Personally I am sick to death of seeing everything grey or all black & white. I used color to decorate and I feel my house is more cozy and inviting. I loved the lampshade. Here in the USA they sell kits to rewire lamps - they are very simple to do. Check out your hardware store. Everything you need is in the kit (except a lightbulb). It usually only takes about 30 min to do one.
