Donna, I'm obsessed with these videos. I tried quilting about 16 years ago but found mostly written instructions and felt frustrated and confused. You really make me want to get back at it with your amazing tutorials. Ironically, i am a FACS teacher now but our sewing has been more along the lines of aprons and day bags.

I Like this one better than the first one . I like the way you and Matt allow each other to do what you do. He came up with great accents I would never have used , but he was right. I can watch your show at night when I can't sleep, and your voice is like threapy to my ears, just allows me to relax. I had noticed this before while watching your videos, I can easily understand what you are saying because you are so relaxed I can concentrate on what you say. Really lovely Quilt.

Those accent colours look like them came with the jelly roll, they were great choices. Also, I love the hint about using a weight, especially as I am in a wheelchair and could not stand over the work. I am using two handheld 5Kg weights and they work a treat! Thank you for all your wonderfully helpful hints!

Thank you THANK YOU for your tips concerning choosing the accent fabric colors and orientation of the blocks with regard to the light and dark accent strips. I'm certain that these factors contribute greatly to what makes your Transitions quilts so beautiful and yet these tips don't appear in the pattern. I also purchased your hand-cut Hydrangea strips and noted that you've suggested that collection as a good choice for use with the Transitions pattern, so that's what I'm going to do. You guys have such a great eye for color and value, I'm sure the results will be stunning. Thank you for helping me be a better quilter and enjoy the process even more ❤

Love this quilt and the colors chosen for it. I made one similar to this, in that I sewed the jelly roll into strip units, then sewed the strip units together like you did, to make the tubes. I cut them differently, by starting on the left, and moving the ruler from the bottom stitching, to the top stitching. Don’t know if that makes sense. It was easier to cut because you didn’t need to use a second ruler. I made mine queen size, and it turned out beautifully, since I absolutely love the colors of the jelly rolls. Thanks again for the wonderful tutorials and free patterns.
