I believe that the BBC in the UK have hundreds of RCP-2s - but probably for podcasts rather than radio broadcasts

Really? That's interesting to know!

NICE SETUP .....good video as always. I have that canon too, but I would like to know about the rode procaster filter, I would like it for my microphone.

I don’t know if this question was ever answered but I have a FaceCam and it did not work with the RodeCaster Video. My Logitech Brio did but the video has a lot of blurred motion. Fine for me with it being a secondary scene cam. I loved your story about figuring things out with a 13 year old in class!! LOL!

Thank you for this info! I'm trying to gather which webcams work well now and which don't, so this is helpful. And yeah, I definitely learned a lot from my students- sometimes it would even be during the same class period when I'd walk from one student to another and show them sometime I learned literally minutes before 😁

@@tombuck That is so cool!! Because I am such a geek, I always ask my students are any of them streamers. Then ask what equipment they are using. So bad. LOL! Well, I have another webcam for you but it is not common. An Avaya Webcam/Huddle Camera HC020 with HDMI. I picked it up to used from B&H to use with an ATEM mini. Oddly, I get a heavy green tint when I put the in the RCV HDMI port. I got it to work properly when I restarted the webcam. But oddly enough with an adapter on the USB3 cord it works perfectly in the RCV USB-C port.

This is the one I have: amzn.to/3BA23Gy It's awesome for the price. My only gripe is that I do wish it were just a bit taller.

Do you have a tutorial on Ecamm, I’ve been using OBS and Descript to edit my podcast but going remote cause my co host is moving so looking to do remote podcast.
@tombuckАй бұрын
I've got quite a few Ecamm tutorials, but not a full on "getting started" video (Which has been on my list for ages). I do have an Ecamm vs. OBS comparison, and while they've each added more features since then, my overall feelings are the same: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqnEZHWAeN6VbLM

@@tombuck yes I have seen that video, I have to go little by little and check out ecamm cause like I said me and my co host will need to go remote and ecamm seemed cool to do that

I may have missed it, but what microphone are you using in the beginning/most of the video?
@tombuckАй бұрын
It's the Rode Procaster 👍

Why are the RCP 2 smart pads so sensitive? I have my Rodecaster mounted to a swivel arm on my desk. It seems like every little vibration sets off one the pads. It’s very annoying, and I don’t want to have place the unit on my desk to alleviate the misfires. Any suggestions?
@tombuckАй бұрын
So this was actually a manufacturing defect with a batch of RCP's maybe a year and a half ago or so? They should NOT be that sensitive and if you reach out to Rode's support, they should take care of you with either a repair or replacement.
@DatDudeDullahАй бұрын
@@tombuck is that even if my unit was purchased when it was first released?
@MichaelAngeloTechАй бұрын
@@DatDudeDullah I can’t speak to your situation with the RCP2- but my experience with their customer support has been really great. I contacted them about my Rode video mic that was probably 5-6 years old at the time. They sent me a brand new mount free of charge years out of warranty.

Can stream cell phone mobile KZbin live and use rodecaster video to use scenes?
@tombuckАй бұрын
THere's not currently a way to wirelessly bring a phone into the RCV for streaming, but maybe one day! As for control, it all needs to be done via the Rode Central app on either a Mac or a PC.

Thank you for your reply! I am testing the video myself! When you were walking around with your spouse showing the studio with the camera and using your rode wireless, it sounded really great. 1) What settings do you use for the rode wireless? (E.g. decibels) 2) Are the settings for your rode caster video shareable? (E.g. file export and email and i import your settings to my rode caster video.) Thank you so much in advance! You are a good servant and serve your community well!
