4:13 fun fact: I did IT for doctors’ offices ca 1995. A couple calls I got involved “ghosts” typing things that the caller had typed days or weeks earlier. They had keyboards that could record key strokes, maybe for a template or a signature sequence to be used again and again. They had accidentally recorded most of letters they had typed, and then accidentally hit the “play” key, causing the “ghost” to type out those long passages from days of yore. 😂😂😂

Love the new set-up! It's always fun to tune in see what you have been up to and nerd out from afar (on audio production stuff in particular). For desktop speakers that sound very good and don't take up much room on the desktop, try the Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speaker System. I've been very happy with mine for about a year. Is your bass amp back there solid state? I'm a long-term confirmed tube guy although I don't currently have an bass gear. Really used to like my Rickenbacker and Hofner through a Traynor YB-300A through an old 2x15 Fender Bassman cabinet. Plenty loud enough for the bars my now defunct mid-life crisis band (too much band crisis and drama after four years) used to play plus the occasional outdoor event. Kind Regards,

I turn the actual cameras themselves off. But if you use a dummy battery setup instead of USB, then you could leave them switched on and control everything from the remote since the cameras wouldn't have to have their batteries installed and then would only be on when there's direct power. Now that I type that it seems like a smarter way to go...

Dope video bruh. I have a question.... I'm using the duo and mke600 and it has a loud hiss. I thought it was the rodecaster duo so I got it replaced and the hiss is still there. Anything I can try it do to stop it?
@tombuck2 ай бұрын
Hmm, is this hiss on your recordings or only in your headphones? If it's not showing up on recordings, then that narrows it down to either the headphone amps or the headphones themselves. Since you had the Duo replaced, it's probably not a defect, which means the headphone settings might need to be changed to either low or high sensitivity (depending on what you're suing). If the hiss IS showing up on recordings, then it could be the gain level, an EQ setting, or a bad XLR cable. If you turn off EQ and turn the gain down, you might be able to rule those out. And if you swap cables that could help too. It's amazing how much of a difference there can be between different XLR cables.

I'm using USB, which requires the batteries, but if you use a dummy battery setup, then you could leave the power on and the remote switch would turn them on/off

I’ve had good luck with them, but they can be pricey sometimes and USB can also be used with other things, so I’ve just preferred to go that route.
