Update (Oct 17, 2016): Still going strong. We've had a lot of big rain storms since posting this video. (And usually the wind is blowing against the back of my house where this thing is mounted!) The only downside was that one night I went out and it didn't light. I don't think that was a fault -- just a particularly cloudy day so it probably didn't get much of a charge. Winter freeze/thaw is going to be a good test.. but hopefully a couple of months away.

X03V sounds like a 3v regulator maybe, if the PIR gives an analog signal then a stable voltage reference is nice. Low dropout 3.3v reg hooked up to the lithium is a nice solution

i have had it since 2017. Working well every night since Hurricane Maria passed thru Puert Rico. Only problem is i want to buy more and cannot find in USA. If someone could help with this ...it would be appreciated. others went in just a few months. Not the Vont. thank you.

Good work! I really liked the one you did on nimh batteries. Good format! Tell us up front what most want to know and then follow up with details. One issue with these units (I have a 20 led unit). There is no way that I know of to make the unit stay on for more than a few seconds. When I take the dog out for his *exercise * he goes off to do his thing. Unless I want to walk around in circles, the light goes off in about 15 seconds. The batteries are powerful enough to power the lights for several minutes many times a night. I would ruther have the light shine for 5 minutes x 10 times a night than for 15 seconds x 200 times.ANY Insight?

hello I do not know if it is too late to ask about these lights but just buy some and they are not left only light if someone happens near and at 10 seconds they turn off not that they give on the only way that they turn on the lights is to pass close to them

_Update (Oct 17, 2016):_ Check out the description. Handled the rain well so far! _Original comment:_ Sorry, not yet. I considered aiming a sprinkler at it, but I want to give it a "fair" test by exposing it to whatever mother nature can throw at it. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) it hasn't been raining much. We're supposed to get a storm tonight, though! =) I'll keep everyone posted in the description above and the blog post.
