Yay!!! So happy you liked this. I actually do have some more bird tutorials on the horizon. I actually already have the footage filmed and just have to get it edited. It will be more on whimsical birds and having some fun.

I love your color choices! I have painted in watercolor, acrylic, collage etc. I always love the freshness and spontaneity of pastel marks. I am intimidated by the scope of supplies and expense of beginning pastel. (Probably because I already have a closet FULL of other art supplies) Your manner of teaching is engaging.

Thanks Cindy.... I too feel inspired obviously by pastels even though I work in other mediums. The color is so rich and undiluted. Yes, it can be an expensive setup, but I'd suggest spending more on the better pastels vs. the papers. I have lots of videos sharing how you can make your own surfaces economically. :) :)

It was awesome ❤️ Great video Susan excellently explained I usually do the bird and then look for background Also I us alcohol if I first coat and then use pastels Because I think it gives a better detailing,well it's just my way😅 But m going to try and correct my mistakes I hope you are doing well Keep posting more 😊 Love from India ❤️

Sandra Bick I uploaded a video today that has another version of this chickadee painting, but I used it to also teach on how to change a color palette using photo editing options. I have more footage for a whimsical bird tutorial coming soon… So I guess that would sort of be part three.
