Really enjoyed this. Dont have an airbrush, but will be using the sponging technique on my next model! Do you think you will do more Tau in the future?
@PhilsMiniPainting4 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude. An airbrush isn't essential. I mainly use it for priming anyways. Definitely gonna do more Tau. Gonna try and do an entire army

Nice mate!... good to see more Tau painting vids on here keep it up please. I would definitely change that camera angle, doesn't do the painting process justice, maybe try replicate an angle that represents us looking over your shoulder or as if we are a second painter. Also the turntable shot was choppy, was the camera sitting on the same surface the turntable was on? That could cause the shakiness. Looking forward to the second video, what are you painting next?
@PhilsMiniPainting4 жыл бұрын
Yeah i agree i need to experiment with the angle. My plan eventually is to have another camera on a rotating arm that i can angle at will but need to save up for said camera and arm :P And yeah i know the turn around was choppy. Trying to hold the camera in my hands. Next time i'll mount it Next project is some Aeronautica stuff :)

Question do I have to prime it or can I just paint it as it it
@PhilsMiniPainting9 ай бұрын
You have to prime yes. It gives the paint something to grab on to otherwise it'll just flake off
@powerwolf-vw8st10 ай бұрын
If you add a brown with good coverage your gold/bronze basecoat you can skip a coat or two of paint, Also tends to look a little bit more realistic if you leave that in the recesses. You can do the exact same thing with silvers and black/grey.. or any other high pigmentation regular matt -semi matt colour really. I seen this tip years ago in white dwarf and havent stopped using it since, You can even keep a tiny amount of similar toned of matt paint in all the way to highlights to help with the finnicky unforgiving nature of metallics.

Thats definitely a great idea. When i relaunch the channel I'll look into this
@laurynasjasukaitis38673 жыл бұрын
Looks like a solid start to a very nice channel. Well done on the painting tutorial, looks good. Something to consider with audio. Your voice-over could be just a bit more clearer. I don't think it's a volume issue as your audio editing is great. Maybe it will come with practice. Keep it up! looking forward in seeing more.

Thanks dude :) Yeah its a confidence issue. Im getting better with it :)
