When I first played dynasty warriors 6 it took some time to get the hang of it, 7 was pretty good, 8 was different because of the conditions needed to clear stages, and 9... Well I don't have a PS4 to try it out

I think I've invested more than 300 hours just on this game alone (not including DW6 Empires, which is probably double the time), never really understood the hate towards this game. Time flies, can't believe this game came out in 2007... phew.

I think I maxed every character in this game. I loved it. I have enjoyed most of the dynasty warrior games but I put more time in this one than any of them. A lot of hate for this game from hardcore fans but I always enjoyed this one.

If you want to kill Lu Bu, then Charge 3 into Charge 4 is a good low-level combo. If you can't stagger him, then use your Musou, then run away and recharge. If you want to delay Lu Bu's spawn, then just avoid Hu Lao Gate altogether and take the northernmost route. I'm pretty sure you'll run into an enraged Zhang Liao, but he's still easier than Lu Bu.

Okay, here's my other problem. The rest of my army won't follow when I run ahead because they are fighting Lu Bu. What's more is that I keep getting messages saying "Yuan Shao is in trouble! Save him!" and crap like that. The CPU army is really pissing me off...

I played this game at my brothers' place and loved it, on Christmas he bought it for me and I played the shit out of this game. Now a while back I bought DW8XL and god damn it's trash. You've got millions of weapons and no level up system, instead you level up skills where as most are useless. There are new combat mechanics which I hate and it feels like enemies are tougher, not harder but have more HP which is annoying. I really loved the skill tree in DW6 and the hunt and grind for the best weapons for each character and to get the legendary horses.

Dynasty Warriors 6 is the black sheep of the series, as for Dynasty Warriors 8, yeah the enemies are cheap at hard mode which is the ideal difficulty in order to enjoy it. Officers constantly block non stop (only a high level cyclone or R1 can leave them open), and the unit commanders are surprisingly cunning, constantly using jump light attack to trip you down and combo 2 to stun you

Cause he can't defeat lu bu in chaos difficult cause I try you can defeat him but you need full health full mousu no mistake without take any damage cause he so powerfull and if you left him he go to your king directly and beat him so easily

Mostly pure luck, but there are some time tricks you have to use on your gaming system and playing with two players on certain levels, you would have to search google for what they are but it is a pain. I got all the special horses through the time tricks. (This was for the PS3, I'm not sure how other systems work to get special horses.)
