The Bizarro Sephiroth boss is an example of a video game ambiguity. The game tells you to change a party when a part of Sephy dies. The trick in speeding up the process is stay in Cloud's party.

Just finished the game a few days ago for the first time. I got very confused by that message. I thought switching parties would somehow help, like delaying the different parts' regeneration or something. Eventually looked it up and realized it was better to just stick with one party lol

@@oddlang687The weird thing is, it's not even always an option. Sometimes you only get your own core party, but I forget the criteria for that. And hell, the first time I just had that core party, and yet it took forever because I had everything set to max speed and that was so much the messages were blindingly fast, so I didn't even know wtf I was doing and just kept destroying the same parts until I made enough damage on the rest to make it through.

@@hitkid2456 I honestly didn't get the option. It was no problem though, because we were all level eighty and had summons, All materia linked to final level spells out the wazoo, and Slash-All on Cloud. I destroyed him lol It took me more tries to beat the buff metal sword guys (the Iron Men) just before the end than to beat Seph, I beat both forms on my very first try

This fight was so irritating with multiple parties. My first time doing it, I only had to use one and it was actually pretty easy --- but then I lost to Safer Sephiroth and had to do it again. My second time around, I had two parties and it took me FOREVER because I didn't know what I was doing.

@@AquaBlueTea Im in the same boat i have no idea why they would burn us so hard at the end of the game like this. I have spent several hours on this and could rant on. This has changed my opinion of this game for the worse.

Thing about this fight that took me a while to learn. While it has the best boss music ever. If you got the knights of the round summon it ends this fight in one cast making it the quickest fight in the game.

Quickest boss fight in FF7 is from Cosmo Canyon, Gi Nannok. On your way there, you'll find a X potion, throw it at the Boss and its dead instantly. Weak to holy damage so X Potion does 9999 dmg. Lol

@@The_Night_Haunter-VIII Or, you could not waste the X-Potion and use a Phoenix Down. Quite literally the oldest Final Fantasy trick. Undead boss? Use a Phoenix Down. Too many examples to list, but the Phantom Train in FF6 is another prominent example of this.

@@Enigma1788 Phoenix down only recovers a small amount of HP after reviving and doesn't kill the Boss at Cosmo Canyon. Which is why you throw an X potion at em for the 1 shot cheese. I'm strictly talking about Gi Nattak from FF7, not other titles

Which fits better imo. Just wish he didn't look almost exactly like he does here. Also hopefully Safer will have a better design than in the original.

It makes a lot of sense that you had Vincent lead the center team if you think about it. All he wanted was for Lucrecia, the scientist he bodyguarded as a Turk member, to be happy, but instead his actions ended up having Lucrecia bringing Sephiroth into the world, which - as we know - caused unspeakable amounts of damage. Lucrecia (after saving Vincent by putting Chaos inside of him) tried to kill herself, but the JENOVA Cells in her body rendered her immortal. Ultimately, she ended up imprisoning herself in a fountain of Materia. Everyone says the events of FF7 are Hojo & Lucrecia’s fault, but no - they’re Vincent’s. He made a bad decision leaving Lucrecia with Hojo, and he didn’t realize it until Hojo proved to Vincent he was crazy enough to experiment on humans. He tried to stop Sephiroth from becoming a monster, but Hojo shot him and turned him into one first. This is his last chance to make everything right. If he screws up here, the child he’s responsible for Lucrecia giving birth to is going to rule over the world and become a god. It’s so symbolic and I love it.

For some reason I read that as Bizarre Love Triangle, and I was half expecting New Order’s hit song to play over the battle…. “Every time I see you falling, I get down on my knees and pray…”

@@elenplays His best! (The head will weaken Safer when you go into that phase, each Head kill is a small amount of HP lost from Safer)

You do NOT have to switch parties at all so I still had a 9999 HP 999 MP LV 70 Cloud Barret Cid party use Knights of the round on it UNTIL it DIES from it.
