I'm glad they are making this game a bit easier. Jumping into infinity has proven difficult for me, and i love the style of this game. so I'm hoping this will make it easier for my simple mind.
@MoragTong_4 жыл бұрын
What I always tell new players is learn YOUR army...you'll find out soon enough what the other guy can do. This cuts the rules/skills you need to know down by a massive margin. The game is actually really easy, it just has a ton a variety. You won't find the difference between armies is just a +1 to some stat...the game is MUCH deeper than that and thus requires a large data set to contain it all.
@kaibe52415 ай бұрын
@@MoragTong_ You can have depth without requiring an encyclopaedia of rules. Games like Guild Ball are a perfect example of this. Infinity often feels like it was originally designed as a roleplaying game, where that level of game rule knowledge is kinda necessary to ensure character progression and play is kept interesting and non-repetitive.

I think you made a mistake at around 34:30. The Fusilier was in cover when he shot the Zhanshi but the shooting player can always shoot when it gives them the best modifiers - i.e. though they can shoot the Fusilier as he moves and has zero cover.

Liking the slimmed down rules for Code One and great video. I've been meaning to get into Infinity for some time now, awesome minis and great setting. at 45:00 or so: why don't all the troops who can see the retreating model at the start of his move get to declare an ARO, only the one who can see him at the end of his move? The rules say to treat them as simultaneous and seem to imply if you can at any point see a model along its designated path you get to make an ARO (top of 23). Trying to wrap my head around whether/how this seems to have changed from the 2 games of n3 I played.

@JPWestmas4 жыл бұрын
Loss of luitenant always seemed kind of drastic to me and a huge waste of swc and of a model, especially with Aleph and other high tech armies. On top of it I get attacked often by isolation and immobilize weapons that can shoot through walls quite often as A Zoc weapon. Not bad weapon design but I sometimes question the power level granted to cheap models. :)

I know you did a Wildfire assembly video, but you could do a quick assembly video for the Kaldstrom buildings for people and make a lot of folks happy on the facebook group. For Code One, I like to compare it to the old division of red box D&D vs AD&D, but the comparison probably doesn't make sense to many people anymore in a 5th edition D&D world.
@vocenoctum20464 жыл бұрын
The issue with no irregular orders in Code One too, is that you don't get the nice tokens to use with N4 when it releases. So unless the Scenery Expansion (with sniper tower & objective room) comes with some of the odder tokens, it does mean you'll be having different style tokens for the full run.

at 45:03 the Jujak moved back and only 1 fusilier got to ARO. In the Code One rulebook (p. 22-23), it says that models can ARO if hostiles activate within line of sight, and that it happens All At Once so can decide at which point it wants to ARO. So shouldn't all 3 fusiliers and the orc have gotten an ARO since the Jujak started its order in line of sight of them all? Or do is the Kaldstrøm quick start missions handle ARO differently than the core Code One rules? BTW, love Code One

Can you only aro if you can see them at the end of the move?
