Great to see the mechanics. You're closing points about the potential for scenarios and narrative content resonates strongly as this otherwise felt fairly static. Shows plenty of coop promise.

Wow, that was exciting! Cant wait to play that with my son. 😃

As someone who has never played kill team but would love to get into it, the new solo and cooperative modes are a freaking awesome edition. I for one will be visiting my local warhammer store asap to find out more

I'd love to see a warhammer quest style activation for the npo's. Give each "class" a random activation table.

I have been most excited for this so I can play with my kids.

Oh man, this looks great. I would love to see them do a book of linked games. Something like Deathwatch Overkill

About the things with the big RPG book, would love that too, but I think it might head too much into Warhammer Quest terrain with that. I'm defo already thinking about my own made narratives tho! Maybe 3 games, against a faction, working up to the big boss. Or having straight away a single enemy that's really strong, like a knight and create custom rules for it. This edition unlocks so much potential.

Love how you paint your terrain! Would you mind sharing how you did your Volkus terrain?

I foresee you buying a number of White Dwarfs in the near future... , As I'm guessing that is where the joint ops and solo play missions are going to appear first, with a consolidation book, including a couple of new missions to get completionists to buy it, to come 6 to 9 months later. I wonder if there will be new teams in White Dwarf, using the card inserts for tokens and datacards. Ash, are you goi g to play a game of KT2024 using the Gallowdark terrain? Are there rules for opening doors/hatches in the Core Book? I'm interested to see how a game usually played in 3d works when played in 2d.

Volkus, Bheta-Decima and Gallowdark all get their own killzone rules in the core book
@andrewcook39834 ай бұрын
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames Probably should have watched the Core Book review before asking that question.

Would the solo rules allow you to use different enemies in the separate dark tide game?
@Hundmathr4 ай бұрын
Nice. This certainly makes KIll Team more attractive to me as a non Warhammer person. Blackstone Fortress style modules would be dope. How cool would it be if they took a nod from Hive Secundus and did some Aliens inspired horror narrative scenarios re using the Gallowdark terrain? Halloween's coming up, get on it GW.

Big reason for ordering the new box was co-op and solo content. Regarding models is there any restriction to base sizes? Anything to stop say a Necron Skorpekh Destroyer being the big bad on the team, or even a Skorpekh Lord. Of what ive seen everythings pretty much open to creating your own fun.
@johnmc181280Ай бұрын
I think it sucks that they don't use an official 3-player mode. This “We play in threes but one party shares a squad” is not a real 3-player mode, but actually just a 2-player mode, quite nice for beginners.

What do I need to start Kill Team joint ops? I just want to do some narrative encounters with my model collection. 1. A Rule Book 2. I have plenty of models and terrain. 3.…..what about data cards? Tokens etc? Anything else? Thanks.

Just the rulebook and cards for the team you want to play (the NPOs all have stats in the core rules)

While it is a bit disappointing to hear that NPO statlines are generic rather than based on specific unit stats (like was in the bestiary in the old Warhammer Quest Roleplay book), the generic stats mean that I can finally use all of the extra Blackstone Fortress Guardian and Spindle drones that I bought on eBay. I wonder what the best stat line for those would be.
@billybirdy95072 ай бұрын
There will be move PvE missions, so it’s expected that new enemy stats will be introduced.

50:40 couldn’t the gellerpox just hit with his only melee attack the scout with 1 wound as they were in control range?
@4535jacks4 ай бұрын
I don't think the chaos marine brawler was a valid target for your scout with shotgun as he was still in conceal behind heavy outside of 2" from your scout. From the view above the cover line from your model still crossed intervening terrain.
@GuerrillaMiniatureGames4 ай бұрын
So cover lines can be drawn from any part of the attackers base now to see both sides of the defender, even the outside edge. It makes hiding along walls much harder in this edition.
@4535jacks4 ай бұрын
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames thanks for the reply. The targeting lines are draw from any single part of the friendly operatives base to every facing part of the enemy's base just as it was in 2nd edition. Therefore, I don't think the marine was a valid target as the targeting line would have crossed heavy cover when drawn to the right hand side of the base when viewed from the friendly model.
