From time to time I come back to watch your Larry videos. I really like how you narrated and commented all the way through. I wish you played LSL5-6 and 7 (especially 6). I like LSL2 because you can find the roots in it for 6 and 7. And I played this episode the most on my Amiga500 back in the days (couldn't really get far but I just liked the atmosphere)

This was probably the most fun series for me to make. I remember playing this as a kid and walking around the city, maybe interacting at the convenience store, but couldn't imagine all the different locations and scenarios that come up. I didn't even imagine leaving the city! I've been working on some other projects and skills and have generally felt more creative lately. Not exactly sure what it's going to be but I'm hoping that it all kind of comes together to make something someday.

I remember when you had to supply words from the manual to install the game. Like Warcraft 1, you had to find 'word 7 of line 10 on page 20' of the manual or something... so rudimentary, but effective in the days where there was no internet.

Sometimes you could guess it. I don't remember well enough to understand how it was possible. But I had lost the manual sometimes as a kid but was ble to get past it by guessing.

Ha, yeah it seemed to take years to figure out all of the subtle things that you have to do, or not do sometimes. Very frustrating but incredibly rewarding.

Cause I had an access to PC somewhere around 1989-1991 for the first time. At that time a game was around for a year or so.

I seriously didn't know that the town in the beginning of this game was the same as in the first one. I always thought it was a different store in another part of the city

Right... KQ IV had the same "copy protection". Only that nowadays you can probably find all these manuals on the web - in case you lost your own ;-)

If you're using a pc, run a quick search for dosbox and download whatever version looks right. Read the "readme's" if you don't know how to mount a drive or just send me a message if you still have trouble.

The internet existed back when games used the book as protection. Hackers would put cracks up even back then I remember there were cracks for games as far back as the 80s'

Also with this game since Al Lowe created it you can by-pass the copy protection by entering his brithdate as the rest of the phone number which you can get from his site.

I can't even remember how I solved this game. Has it been that long ago? LOL. I think it took me a month or two to finish this. Most Sierra "3-D Animated Adventure" Games as they were called then were very well written, planned, and hear this - PLAYTESTED.

I remember playing this as a kid, it's embarrassing to admit but I couldn't get past the first level! I had no clue what to do. I just walked around town doing shit, I vaguely remember finding a key in his garage, drinking a Grotesque Gulp from the quickie mart, but just generally wandering aimlessly, as I had no instructions and no clue what the goal was. Come to think of it, I had the same problem on Larry part 1. Part 5 is the one I beat in its entirety. Pun intended.

There are some "adult-situations" but this one is much milder than the first. This one is more like a real game rather then a silly little adventure to get laid.

in my opinion; this is the worst larry game (im not counting the 3d ones because they both suck) because this game is really really hard and the puzzles are impossible to solve (even if you look at walkthrough..) and this game has no erotic humour.. there is only one woman..
