This game was awesome and still is. I remember roaming around the house and The man would be down stairs or just across the room roaming around and I would always freak out lol. It was so intense I'd love it, just makes me wish I still had Nintendo lol.

Hey thanks for the nice comment! I agree, Razor's music was pretty good, but other than that, she was damn near worthless (no offense.) Nightshade and Echo Night? I grew up on this game, still an all time favorite. I always used Syd and Bernard too, but always tend to make Dave go sit in the library the entire game. used him to go lure out Ed with the doorbell, or nab any deliveries from the mailman. Syd was my packrat, Bernard the fixer. XD I never understood the hidden keypad in the hallway with the game room/medical room. No matter what code you punch in, it blows up the mansion.

I know this comment was written 8 months ago but I am glad to see that I wasn't the only one afraid of this game! lol, the music gave me the creeps back then, and to this day when I play it I get creeped out some. Doesn't help that turning off the music makes it even more creepy.

Yeah. Maniac Mansion the game that I did love, but the game I got frustrated with and panicky about at times haha I was never very good at it. I prefer to watch people play it more so this works. I'm going to enjoy this Let's Play. Looks like you got a sausage party going. LOL I love the voices, I guess I can forgive you for not picking Razor then. I usually picked Mike myself too for some reason. Hey you didn't turn on the kitchen sink faucet, you do need the can of Pepsi though.

After playing many times, I learned not to grab the useless items. Just more inventory junk to scroll through when I need something important. Examples: chainsaw: no gas; fridge: only need the Pepsi; turkey & roast: leave 'em; pantry: fruit drinks & glass jar (maybe developer, too).

By the way, if you press 'Select' it will cycle through 'Get, Use, and Open' to make it faster.

Loved this so much in it's unusually creepy way looking back at it now. One of the games I quite literally was crying from laughing. Use > Hamster > Plant. The plant will eat the hamster ;)

Camstudio. If you get framerate issues, record from a smaller window. If you get audio sync issues, go into audio options and use mci recording.

you can cycle through some of the more common parser commands with the select button... saves a little time, just a tip.

I always wondered why, in the bathroom when you pull back the shower curtain, it said, "Call Edna"... like it was a clue. But in the non-NES versions, since there wasn't such a strict sense of "it has to be a family game" (because of Nintendo), it usually said, "For a good time, call Edna". That made MUCH more sense. =p

I've noticed that... I think that the changing numbers might reflect the various passcodes used in the game, (different every time you start a new one) but I've never really experimented with it. You might be able to work out a system to know all of the codes just by reading that sign, but who knows.
