The pair are going on their ghost hunting expeditions yet again, and this time it's a 50/50 chance that during this Phasmophobia gameplay they'll each be hunted by a perturbed ghost... so prepare yourself for hefty headphone warnings and lots of yelps. I love watching you guys play this game because I've spent a month playing it. Seriously though, every time the lights go off it's not always the ghost, every map can only have a certain amount of lights on before the fuse trips and turns off. Hallway lights stay on, after checking a room with the EMF reader and thermometer TURN OFF THE LIGHT.

Are we 100% sure your mics are working? You should mute discord, and try in game proximity/walkie talkie chat. Because if your mic is open, you should have been hearing yourself twice. I think that's why you were having such a hard time triggering ghost events on easy maps. Just a suggestion, love all the streams. Keep up the good work!

They could do the audio test to be sure but I've seen other channels use discord and in-game and have it work.

Yeah the in game chat is absolutely spooky and would make aoife taking one for the team feel all the more real.

Yeah, OutsideXbox had to press to talk for the voice recognition stuff. It had an echo whenever it was used, but it was quite creepy and worked well.

I love how Zoe started off being terrified in this game and we're now at the point where she's suggesting ways to make the ghosts scarier by staring at you through the windows.

Salt only prevents Wraiths from hunting, otherwise it's just a chance for more money because you can take photos of the footprints.

You have to use local chat to talk to the ghosts (hold the V key).

I have push to talk turned off for this game and have had the ghosts respond to the voice box without me pressing V. I think V is "local talk" if you have push-to-talk activated?

When your flashlights are flickering off and on, the last thing you want to do is sit in one spot at the front door when it's locked. Survival tactic is to find any room in the house that is not the ghost room and close the door so you can hide in a corner and hope the ghost doesn't find the room.

i explained to my pals that "hauntings (stuff moving, weird noises and voices)" happen because ghost #1 scares someone to death, and they become a ghost who is now upset at ghost #1 and they tom and jerry their way all over the place. More ghosts are made when someone gets spooked to death by what we perceive as hauntings and the cycle continues. So far i have not been proven wrong. Science :)

Why do the ghosts like the bathrooms? So they have the mess contained when you soil yourselves and run away. They don't need to use the toilet, but they do have to live in the place. Selfish.

I tho k the FF7 remake is on hold until they finish the Original and they have said that they want that last (or lasts? Not sure about the amount) episode or episodes of the original record that in the studio on the couch. They did say that in one of the FF7R streams. So... Yeah, on hold.

It's possible the ghost was getting stopped and either the crucifix ran out of charges (it has 2) or it tried to start it's hunt further away from the crucifix. Also, I've heard the optional objectives are dependent on the gear you take with you...that said, the game has randomly given me objectives for gear I don't have.

I am horrible with horror stuff, especially jump scares, yet I watched Ellen's Fear Academy which is even scarier due to all of Ellen's screams which are usually scarier than the actual jumpscares.

This is the one that gave us the word nightmare, where the mare rides on you instead of the other way around.

To continue what Night Cat was saying, Mare is one of those words that English has bastardized or fused the meaning from several similar sounding words stolen from other languages, in this case from Ancient Greek and Old Norse by way of German and a few others. It carried the meanings of doom, harm, and/or despair, as well as the feeling of pressure or being trampled. It's also an example of blaming gods or demons for medical conditions, especially mental illnesses, that they didn't understand, like being bipolar or having multiple personality disorder was demon possession. The Mare, or Nightmare, is basicall the ancient term for a Sleep Paralysis "demon".

You smudged it and it went away, yeah, but you didn't cleanse the ACTUAL room. You used it defensively. To get the objective you have to smudge the room. Smudging during a hunt makes the ghost wander away for 6 seconds. Smudging in the room before it hunts will keep it from hunting for about 90 seconds (120 seconds for spirit, I think)
