My sister got Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 for Xmas, however even though it was a new game the save feature was broken. No online patch fixes back then so at the end of every gaming session we would trash the park. Remove sections of the rollercoasters so people go flying off, deleting bridges righout from under people's feet. Typical 8yr old stuff 😂

I loved playing these games back in the day so its great to see you playing them now. I have a couple of tips for you too, cut off or block pathway that doesn't have any rides on them to stop guests wasting time and not spending money. Group rides up for options so you can have a roller-coaster with a gentle and a thrill ride for if they don't like 1 they don't have far to go to find another. Lastly don't forget the marketing campaigns so far you haven't needed them but they really help in the latter maps.

*squints at playlist* when i started watching these 3 vids, the playlist was in oldest-to-newest. now it's in newest-to-oldest. for gods sake youtube. but to the actual game, it'll be interesting to see what you do on that mesa level where you have to complete the half-built coasters embedded in the mesa. i always find it nightmareish and have to find a video where somebody has already completed it and copy them as best i can. just can't quite figure out the details of coaster building and how to make them less intense; i'm like "lets give them a couple bumps and a loop that'll be fine right?" and then the games like Excitement: 3, Intensity: 20, Vomit: 20

I love the RCT-serie! Brings back a lot of good memories. I think the toilets need to be all over the park, not just close to coasters etc. The complaining guests are all probably on the long walk where there were no attractions.

Just as a heads up if you are not charging for the park entrance then you can charge a lot more for rides, especially roller coasters. The Wild Mouse at 45:25 you could easily charge $7 for. It's not big deal in the early missions but if you find yourself running low on funds in harder scenarios it's something to keep in mind.

47:56 Dinghy slides cannot crash if they go around corners too quickly. Only if they are going too fast when a segment changes to a 'less up' pitch - and that can be avoided by covering the slide.

do you ever have to build your own coaster from scratch? i.e., to solve a problem/meet some requirement in order to complete the level and advance? 🤔 ... I played a lot of TTD, but I never played this. it's cool tho.💓🎢
