fun fact, the twisty trial prankster comet actually makes the platforms move at about the same speed they did in Super mario sunshine.

Back when I played this, I recall getting the coins was more important than the time limit. I kept not worrying about many of the easy coins on the flat ground and ended up being too short of coins at the end. I kept failing because I focused too much on making the time limit. But once I didn't worry so much about the time limit and got as many coins as I could, particularly the ones on flat ground, I got the star pretty quickly. So that may be the trick to beating this.

The thing that made twisty trials so easy in sunshine too, was the fact of bad slope detection. I'm not complaining though, it just made it very easy.

It's cause he worked 3rd shift. He would work somewhere around 3:00 AM - 8:00 AM shifts. On a morning like this, recording at 5:00 AM it was probably his day off but he still had the sleep cycle to get up at that time and start his day.

On the rainbow road purple coins, I think it's okay to waste time getting extra coins if it means getting your hundredth early. The timer stops as soon as you get the hundredth purple coin.
